摘要： A device and method of checking wear on roller chains enables a quantitative statement to be made about the state of wear of a fitted roller chain. A device for tensioning a portion of the roller chain with a defined measuring load and a device for measuring the spacing between a given number of chain links are provided, the device for measuring the spacing having two contact pins, each of which is configured for positioning between two rivet heads or on a rivet head of a link plate, and a device for measuring and displaying the distance between the two contact pins. An accurate, quantitative measurement of the wear on a roller chain in the fitted state is obtained quickly and easily.

摘要： A measuring plate (10) supports successive rows of perforation fingers (24i-k) on its upper side, the spacing and diameter of which respectively correspond to the perforations of a postage stamp. By laying .the postage stamp on a row of perforation fingers (22i), the conformity of the postage stamp perforations and measuring perforations can be checked in a tactile manner. The measuring plate (10) is connected by way of a hinge (30 to 34) to a trough-like lid member (12), which can be used for checking water-marks. The measuring plate (10) and lid member (12) together form a flat carrying case for postage stamps.

摘要： A disk-shaped gauge of molded plastic has raised hubs at both sides with a surrounding disk providing support faces around the hubs. The hubs have successive chord lines at equal intervals which are serrated to form linear gauge edges, the number of serrations per 20 mm length of the gauge edges being graduated from 8 to 16 and fractions thereof as are marked on the hubs. Stamps placed on the support faces are checked for mating engagement with the gauge edges to determine the gauge of the serrations of the stamps.The classification of stamps by philaterists require the determination of the numbers of serrations along the edges per a 20 mm unit length since this is important in ascertaining the value and character of the stamps.

摘要： A template for laying a plurality of bricks including a substantially planar and rigid sheet having a plurality of support pins projecting therefrom at a 90.degree. angle in a predetermined pattern for supporting a plurality of bricks. This pattern includes a first plurality of support pins being disposed along a first horizontal line at predetermined spaces corresponding to the length of a brick, and a second plurality of support pins being disposed along a second horizontal line at predetermined spaces corresponding to the length of a brick. The first horizontal line of support pins is parallel to the second horizontal line of support pins, and the first horizontal line is spaced from the second horizontal line by more than the height of a brick. In addition, the support pins in the first horizontal line are offset from the support pins in the second horizontal line. The template also includes a first plurality of holes formed in the sheet for receiving nails, screws or rivets for attaching the sheet to a fixed surface; and a second plurality of holes formed in the sheet for receiving an L-shaped wall tie for attaching the sheet to the bricks being layed.

摘要： The tool includes a straight elongated bar having a flat top surface to which are pivoted first and second narrow bar segments. The bar segments are arranged to swing about their pivots between closed positions in which the segments overlie the bar to open positions in which the segments run transverse to the bars at right angles. The distance between the segments is made exactly equal to the desired distance between the framing studs so that the tool can be positioned alongside a baseboard to which the framing studs are to be attached and appropriate pencil marks made using the segments as ruler edges. The tool is designed to accommodate four bar segments uniformly spaced in accord with the desired stud spacing so that four stud position markings can be effected with a single application of the tool. Also, the tool is designed for easy disassembly to permit compact storage.

摘要： The adjustable jig and transfer punch tool that a plurality of pointers wherein each pointer has a central vertical axis, an anvil portion, a mandrel portion and a swivel joint joining the anvil portion to the mandrel portion in a movable manner about the central vertical axis. Each of the anvil portion and the mandrel portion has a transverse orifice therein relative to the central vertical axis. A first and second rods extend in the transverse orifices in a first and second pair of pointers respectively, joining these pointers together such that the pointers are independently movable there along. One of the pointers in the first pair of pointers is also one of the pointers in the second pair of pointers, and the first rod is movable angularly from the second rod about the swivel joint on that common pointer.
