Silver halide photographic elements that are color intermediate motion picture films have at least one green sensitive silver halide emulsion that includes a green sensitizing dye that is a cyanine dye having two oxazole groups in the molecule, and another green sensitizing dye having either two imidazole groups in the molecule or one oxazole group and one thiazole group in the molecule. The molar ratio of the first green sensitizing dye to the second green sensitizing dye is from about 4:1 to about 0.3:1. The magenta dye image forming unit has at least one green sensitive silver halide emulsion layer that comprises predominantly cubic silver iodobromide grains having at least 90 mol % bromide and at least 1 mol % iodide, which grains have an average equivalent spherical diameter (ESD) of less than 0.25 μm.

Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising at least one silver halide emulsion layer and at least one hydrophilic colloid layer on a support, wherein silver halide in the silver halide emulsion layer has a silver bromide content of 40 to 90 mol %, and the silver halide emulsion layer is spectrally sensitized with a specific dye.

A radiographic material containing tabular silver halide grains also includes an amido compound as an antifoggant precursor that can slowly release an antifoggant over time. These compounds are present in reactive association with the silver halide in tabular silver halide emulsion layers, and are present in an amount of at least 0.5 mmol/mol of silver. The radiographic materials are protected from fog during storage particularly in high temperature environments.

A radiographic imaging assembly comprises a symmetric radiographic silver halide film has an overall system speed of at least 1100 to provide images with improved contrast and sharpness and reduced fog. The imaging assembly includes a symmetric radiographic film having a speed of at least 700 that includes at least two silver halide emulsions on each side of the support that comprise tabular silver halide grains. The emulsions closer to the support comprise a suitable crossover control agent. The imaging assembly also includes a pair of phosphor intensifying screens that have an average screen sharpness measurement (SSM) greater than reference Curve A of FIG. 4. The screens can have a support that includes a reflective substrate comprising a continuous polyester phase and microvoids containing inorganic particles dispersed within the polyester phase.

The present invention provides a black and white photothermographic material having, on at least one side of a support, an image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions, and a binder, as well as an image forming method. The black and white photothermographic material is characterized in that 50% or more of a total projected area of the photosensitive silver halide is occupied by tabular grains having a (111) face as a major face; the tabular grains have at least 2 parallel twin crystal planes in a grain; and a variation coefficient of a distribution of distances between closest twin crystal planes is 20% or less. Also provided is an image forming method that includes image exposure using fluorescent intensifying screens and thermal development.

A photothermographic material having, on at least one side of a support, an image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent, and a binder, wherein (1) the photosensitive silver halide comprises tabular grains having a mean aspect ratio of 2 to 100 and a mean equivalent spherical diameter of 0.3 μm to 10 μm; (2) 50% by weight or more of the binder is a hydrophilic binder; (3) the photothermographic material comprises a means for nucleation; and (4) an average gradient of a photographic characteristic curve of the photothermographic material is from 1.8 to 4.3. An X-ray image forming method using the above photothermographic material is also disclosed. A photothermographic material that is improved in coated surface state and has high sensitivity and high image quality, and an X-ray image forming method using the same are provided.

A high-speed (over 700) radiographic silver halide film is useful for radiography to provide images with improved contrast and sharpness and reduced fog. The film includes at least one tabular grain silver halide emulsion layer on each side of a film support which grains are dispersed in a hydrophilic polymeric vehicle mixture comprising at least 0.05% of oxidized gelatin, based on the total dry weight of the hydrophilic polymeric vehicle mixture. Where multiple silver halide emulsion layers are disposed on each side of the film support, the emulsion layers closest to the support on each side can include crossover control agents to reduce crossover to less than 15%.

A silver halide color photographic material containing on a support a yellow image forming layer, a magenta image forming layer and a cyan image forming layer, each containing a light-sensitive silver halide, wherein each of the yellow, magenta and cyan image forming layers meets the following requirement: Δ Log E(=Log Ed−Log Ea)≦0.15, the definitions of Δ Log E being defined in the specification, and wherein at least one of the image forming layers contains a first silver halide emulsion having a chloride content of not less than 90 mol %, an iodide content of 0 to 2.0 mol % and a bromide content of 0.1 to 10 mol %, and at least one image forming layer which is different from the layer containing the first silver halide emulsion contains a second silver halide emulsion having a smaller average grain size and a higher bromide content than the first silver halide emulsion.
