An alarm clock mechanism for turning on a radio at a pre-set time and which permits the user, by pressing a drowse button, to have a few minutes of additional silence, if desired, before the radio is again turned on. For controlling the mechanism a selector shaft is provided having a selector arm which operates a switch, the shaft being biased to a central ''''on'''' position and manually rockable in opposite directions into detented ''''off'''' and ''''auto'''' positions. When the arm is manually set to the ''''auto'''' position, the arm is interposed in the path of movement of the alarm triggering mechanism, which releases the engaged detent for restoration of the arm to its central ''''on'''' position to turn on the radio. A drowse arm is provided having a pawl which cooperates with the minute wheel of the clock as well as a first stop surface which engages the selector arm, so that when the drowse arm is pressed, the pawl clicks idly over the teeth into engaged position accompanied by movement of the selector arm to the ''''off'''' position, with subsequent gradual restoration of the pawl to a freed position as the minute wheel rotates to define a ''''drowse'''' time interval. As the pawl is freed from the minute wheel the selector arm is forceably restored to the central ''''on'''' position for turning on the radio. The stop surfaces are so positioned that the selector arm may move independently of the drowse arm as long as the latter is in its inactive, or non-depressed condition. The construction and operation are such as to permit use of multifunction parts made of flexible plastic.

An electric alarm clock has an hour wheel which can move axially to engage with several teeth in an alarm-hour setting wheel and make an electrical contact therewith by means of a protruding metallic tongue on a conductive plate mounted on the nonconductive hour-wheel. This tongue makes a brief contact until further rotation of the hour wheel allows it to drop into the hole and open the circuit for the alarm. A second pair of contacts in series with the first-mentioned pair is closable on axial shifting of the hour-wheel into the alarm wheel. A contactbreaking arm of nonconductive material can be pushed between these second contacts and is clamped by them there until the hour-wheel is automatically cammed out of and away from the alarm wheel, whereupon the contact-breaking arm is released. Depression of a button on the clock lights a lamp for illuminating the clock dial face and can shift the contact-breaking arm toward the second contacts to open same. Means is provided to prevent pivoting of the contact-breaking arm between the contacts except when the teeth of the hour-wheel are engaged fully in the holes in the alarm wheel.

However, since an operation required to stop the report function is performed in an operation unit, there is a risk that the user who is not in wakefulness makes an operation error. Using the information communication terminal including a sensor capable of detecting that the information communication terminal is shaken, a notification operation at a set time in the report function is controlled. Also, a control unit of the information communication terminal performs various kinds of control for the notification operation by partitioning vibration information detected by this sensor according to various patterns.

An alarming device for a clock comprises a rotationally driven minute time wheel having plural sets of shift teeth, a rotatable 10-minutes time wheel which intermittently meshes with the shift teeth of the minute time wheel to be driven thereby, and a rotatable hour time wheel which intermittently meshes with the 10-minutes time wheel and is driven thereby. First and second detection devices respectively detect when the 10-minutes and hour time wheels are in predetermined angular positions, and setting means enables setting of the detection devices in predetermined positions. An audible alarm is rendered operative and provides an audible alarm only when the 10-minutes time wheel and the hour time wheel have respectively conformed in phase with said first and second detection devices thereby providing notification of the alarm time. The first detection device is provided with alarm time indicating indicia each of which represents one-figure minutes selected in accordance with the number of said shift teeth of the minute time wheel, and the second detection device is provided with alarm time indicating indicia representing hours.

A transistorized circuit is provided for supplying energy to the electric sound generator of an alarm clock. The transistorized circuit is in the form of an astable multivibrator with a relatively long period so that the sound generator will sound intermittently when supplied with energy by the circuit. The circuit includes a resistor-capacitor timing network to determine the period thereof and an auxiliary resistor is provided which can momentarily be connected in the resistor-capacitor circuit to reduce the charging time of the capacitor.

A control signal generator circuit for an annunciator such as an electric tone in the form of a buzzer or bell consisting of three principle circuits: a timer circuit; a multivibrator; and an amplifier circuit. These circuits are connected across a single power supply. The multivibrator provides the function of producing a series of pulses to the amplifier circuit for causing the annunciator to operate on an intermittent basis. The timer circuit provides the function of converting the operation of the annunciator from producing an intermittent audio signal to a continuous audio signal after a predetermined period of time.
