Abstract:
A switch conversion apparatus including an interface device, a mounting plate configured to mount to a toggle switch and including at least one aperture for receiving a toggle arm of a toggle switch, and an actuator plate configured to slidably engage the mounting plate and including at least one aperture for receiving and engaging a toggle arm of a toggle switch when engaged by the interface device so as to transition the state of the switch. Other embodiments of a switch conversion apparatus include one or more mechanical, electrical, and/or pneumatic timers.
Abstract:
A mixing valve mechanism which is operable by a clockwork mechanism has a valve member which is movable in a valve chamber of the housing for opening and closing an outlet passage. The valve member has an upwardly extending follower portion which engages against a cam plate which is rotatably mounted in the housing above the follower. Spring means are provided for urging the follower of the valve member into engagement with the cam, and the cam has a control surface which during a portion of rotation of the cam moves the valve member downwardly into a closed position and which during another portion permits it to move upwardly under the action of the return spring. A handle member is mounted on the housing, and it is coupled by coupling means to the cam to rotate the cam to drive the clockwork during a portion of the rotational movement of the handle member and to lower valve member to close the passage during another portion of the movement. In addition, the clockwork mechanism can drive back through the cam to permit the valve member to move upwardly in a return direction to the outlet passage after the clock mechanism has timed the cam movement.
Abstract:
Apparatus for releasing the shutter driving mechanism of a photographic camera to obtain long exposure time when the camera shutter is set at a B-position having a manually operable shutter release button, a manually operable self-timer, interlocking members movable between an upper position in which the shutter driving mechanism remains charged and a lower position in which the shutter driving mechanism starts exposure and starts the self-timer, the interlocking means being biased towards its upper position and movable to its lower position by the shutter release button, a second shutter release member mounted in the self-timer to release the engagement of the interlocking members with the shutter release button for allowing the interlocking members to move to their upper position to complete the exposure when the set time has elapsed.
Abstract:
AN OPERATIONAL CONTROL DEVICE FOR PERIODIC ACTUATION OF AN AEROSAL DISPENSER OR OTHER UNIT COMPRISES MECHANISM FOR PERIODICALLY ROCKING AN OPERATING LEVER CONNECTED TO THE UNIT, THE MECHANISM INCLUDING ADJUSTMENTS FOR SELECTIVELY VARYING BOTH THE FREQUENCY AND TIME OF ACTUATION OF THE UNIT.
Abstract:
A timer assembly includes a knob operationally coupled to a stove. A shaft is operationally coupled to the knob. The shaft selectively engages a valve on the stove. The knob is retained on the stove. The shaft opens the valve when the knob is rotated to an on position. The shaft closes the valve when the knob is rotated to an off position. A timer is operationally coupled to the shaft. The timer urges the knob to the on position for a selected duration of time. A spring biasing member is operationally coupled to the housing. A strip is coupled between the shaft and the spring biasing member. The spring biasing member urges the knob to the off position. The spring biasing member moves the knob to the off position after the timer ceases urging the knob to the on position.
