摘要: A timer assembly includes a knob operationally coupled to a stove. A shaft is operationally coupled to the knob. The shaft selectively engages a valve on the stove. The knob is retained on the stove. The shaft opens the valve when the knob is rotated to an on position. The shaft closes the valve when the knob is rotated to an off position. A timer is operationally coupled to the shaft. The timer urges the knob to the on position for a selected duration of time. A spring biasing member is operationally coupled to the housing. A strip is coupled between the shaft and the spring biasing member. The spring biasing member urges the knob to the off position. The spring biasing member moves the knob to the off position after the timer ceases urging the knob to the on position.

摘要: An automatic air intake control includes a timing mechanism that regulates the amount of air entering a combustion chamber enclosure during combustion of a fuel. The amount of air is regulated to provide an efficient and clean burn of a solid fuel. The control may include a cover, an actuating assembly, and a controller. The cover is movable between open and closed positions relative to an air passage opening into the combustion chamber enclosure. The actuating assembly is coupled to the cover and configured to move the cover between the open and closed positions. The controller is coupled to the actuating member and configured to control the position of the cover through the actuating member to regulate the air intake into the combustion chamber. The controller may be a time-based device such as a timer, or may be any other device that uses inputs associated with the combustion of fuel in the combustion chamber or a user's preferences for the characteristics of combustion in combustion chamber.

摘要: A gas shut-off device is provided to automatically cut off gas supply to a gas appliance, such as an outdoor gas fueled barbecue grill, at the expiration of a predetermined time period thereby saving gas and preventing hazards usually associated with a grill that has been left on after use. The gas shut-off device of the present invention is tamper resistant thereby-reducing the risk of a child inadvertently directing gas to an unlit appliance.

摘要: A control arrangement for a heating system including a furnace having a fuel-fired burner apparatus and a vent stack with a motor driven damper plate for opening and closing the stack, includes an interlock switch which provides a safety interlock between fuel supply valves of the system and first and second limit switches which control the energization of a drive motor for the damper plate and effect energization of the fuel supply valves of the system, permitting the fuel valves to operate only when the damper plate is in the open position and preventing energization of the fuel valves in the event of a malfunction of either of the limit switches. The interlock switch also permits recycling of the system in the event of a momentary power interruption. The control arrangement may include a stack mounted heat sensor switch which interrupts the energizing path for the fuel supply valves in the absence of heat from the main burner within a predetermined interval of time.

摘要: A fuel burner sequencing device is disclosed which utulizes cam operated switches in conjunction with relays to program the initiation and safe operation of a fuel burner. The sequencing device or means provides for a normal start up and ignition of a fuel burner, and then provides for a postpurge pilot operation for a normal shutdown of the burner. The postpurge pilot operation activates the pilot burner during the time the main burner is on thereby lighting the pilot burner before the main burner is turned off. The pilot burner is retained in a burning state for a short period after the main burner has been turned off to burn off any residual fuel before the sequencing device or means completes its sequence and is ready for the initiation of a new operating cycle.
