    摘要: A control method is provided for an electronic device that has a receiver to receive a satellite signal, and a time display unit to display time. The method includes selecting, by manual operation using a crown or a button, a first time correction processing or a second time correction processing. When the first time correction processing is selected, the control method further includes receiving a satellite signal, acquiring time information based on the received satellite signal, and correcting the displayed time based on the acquired time information. When the second time correction processing is selected, the control method further includes receiving a satellite signal, calculating the position of the electronic device based on satellite orbit information contained in the received satellite signal, and correcting the displayed time based on the calculated position.

    摘要: A system, apparatus and corresponding method by which to synchronize to a time reference a main module of a device—a main module such as global positioning system (GPS) receiver—using a cellular communication signal received by a cellular module also included in the device. To synchronize the main module to the reference time, the invention provides a method including the steps of: having the cellular module respond to the cellular communication signal by providing to a clock module of the main module a trigger pulse derived from the data component of the cellular communication signal, and also by providing to the main module information relating the trigger pulse to a universal time. The main module is then able to resolve a value for time based on the information relating the trigger pulse to a universal time and the trigger pulse.

    摘要: A lightweight radio/CD player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a case and frontal interface formed of polymer based material that is molded to provide details to accept audio devices such as playback mechanisms (if desired) and radio receivers, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case and frontal interface are of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen that has been pre-formed to contour with the molding operation. The wire mesh provides EMC, RFI, BCI and ESD shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. The PCB architecture integrally forms a resilient beam portion adjacent an edge thereof carrying a grounding pad. The major components and subassemblies are self-fixturing during the final assembly process and self-interconnect by integral guide and connection features effecting “slide lock” and “snap lock” self-interconnection.

The automatic reception process includes acquiring time information based on the received satellite signal and correcting the time based on the acquired time information. The automatic reception process is executed when a predetermined condition is satisfied. The manual reception process includes calculating the position of the electronic device based on satellite orbit information and the received satellite signal, and correcting the time based on the calculated position. The manual reception process is executed based on manual operation.

The antenna has an antenna electrode that is disposed and formed as a line around the outside of the information display unit. The back cover is connected to the ground potential of the reception unit and reflects the radio signals.

A GPS wristwatch 1 has a satellite signal reception unit 10A that receives satellite signals and acquires time information contained in the satellite signals; a time information adjustment unit 25 that keeps times and adjusts the kept time based on the time information acquired by the automatic receiving unit 24; a reception result memory unit 313 that stores the reception result of the reception process performed by the automatic receiving unit 24; and a reception time setting unit 21 that sets the reception start time at which the reception process starts based on the reception result stored in the reception result memory unit 313. The automatic receiving unit 24 executes the reception process when the kept time reaches the reception start time set by the reception time setting unit 21.
