Abstract: An image placement unit obtains a blank area size in a main scanning direction available for nesting printing, from blank-area size information. The image placement unit refers to nesting-scaling-print setting information included in image data and calculates a maximum-reduction size and maximum-enlargement size to which reduction and enlargement are permitted. The image placement unit determines whether the maximum-reduction size and the maximum-enlargement size of an image are within the nesting blank area size. The image placement unit adjusts the size of the image by using a scaling processing unit and places the image in the nesting blank area. The image placement unit specifies the size after a placement position is determined to an image processing unit to generate image data of the image, and stores the generated image data into a storage apparatus. A blank-area measurement unit calculates the nesting blank area size after the image is placed.

Abstract: An image forming system includes an image forming unit configured to form a print image to be printed on a recording medium, based on a raster image and print setting information, a printing unit configured to print an image on the recording medium based on the print image, an image reading unit configured to read the image printed on the recording medium to obtain a read image, and a determination unit configured to determine whether there is an error in the image printed on the recording medium, based on the read image and the raster image. In a case where there is a predetermined difference between the raster image and the read image and the predetermined difference is based on the print setting information, the determination unit does not determine that there is an error in the printed image.

Abstract: An object is to reduce the processing time. One embodiment is a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program for causing an information processing apparatus to function as: a detection unit configured to detect an area of a first object for each second object from a captured image obtained by capturing the second object including the first object; a first display control unit configured to display a display item indicating a detected area at a position corresponding to the area detected by the detection unit in the captured image displayed on a screen; and a second display control unit configured to display a temporary area that is created based on the area of the first object detected in the second object in which area detection has succeeded in the captured image of the second object that is displayed on the screen and in which area detection has failed.

Abstract: The present invention provides an artificial intelligence-assisted printed electronics self-guided optimization method, which integrates machine learning technology with printed electronics. According to variables that impact printing quality of a microelectronic printer, a user sets up experimental groups, prints samples with the microelectronic printer according to parameters in the experiment groups, characterizes printing effects, and evaluates the printing quality. The characterization result is analyzed by machine learning, and printing parameters that correspond to a best printing effect are obtained; then, the parameters are fed back to the user, and the user configures the printer according to the fed-back parameters, thereby improving printing quality. By using the present invention, optimal printing parameters can be obtained by simply setting up a few simple experiments according to a number of factors that impact printing effects, which reduces the time for a printer user to test out printing effects in an early stage, and provides a good practicability.
