    摘要: An image forming system 100 includes a terminal 10, an image forming apparatus 20, and a network repeater 30. The image forming apparatus 20 includes a writer 24 that writes identification information of the network repeater 30 to a wireless communication tag 22. The terminal 10 includes a display device 12 that presents the identification information read from the wireless communication tag 22, a terminal's communication device 16 that is allowed to connect to and communicate with the image forming apparatus 20, and a transmitter 14 that transmits, to the image forming apparatus 20, the identification information selected by a user and an encryption key entered by the user. The image forming apparatus 20 configures a connection with the network repeater 30 based on the identification information and the encryption key transmitted from the terminal 10.

    摘要: A printing apparatus establishes a connection with an external apparatus in accordance with a predetermined communication protocol, receives, and temporarily stores in a spool area, print data transmitted from the external apparatus via the connection, and includes a printing unit to perform printing based on print data stored in the spool area. Whether or not to disconnect the connection with the external apparatus, in accordance with a setting preliminarily made by a user operation, is controlled in a case where reception of print data from the external apparatus is stopped halfway through and a predetermined time has elapsed in a state where the reception remains stopped, wherein the connection with the external apparatus is maintained in a case where the predetermined time has elapsed in a state where reception of print data from the external apparatus remains stopped and it has been set not to disconnect the connection with the external apparatus.

    摘要: A control module of a label printing apparatus includes memory configured to store item data and shelf label data indicative of an ID of an electronic shelf label (ESL) for the item, and at least one communication module configured to: receive, from an external device, an update request to make at least one change to the item data and communicate an ESL update request to the ESL to make the at least one change at the ESL. A processor of the control module is configured to: update the item data stored in the memory according to the update request; determine if the ESL has been updated in dependence on whether an acknowledgement is received from the ESL; and if the ESL has not been updated, control the communication module to output an alert signal to indicate that the ESL is out of sync with the label printing apparatus.

The solutions in embodiments of the present disclosure simplify network connection configuration operations of the image-forming apparatuses.
