    摘要: A bass drum damper and a bass drum are provided. The bass drum damper includes a sound insulating plate that covers a batter head of an acoustic bass drum generating a percussive sound when a beater of a foot pedal percusses a predetermined percussion location. The sound insulating plate includes a contact portion having an opening portion open for the percussion location for the beater and is in contact with the batter head, and a fixing portion provided at a circumferential edge of the contact portion and fixed to a hoop applying a tensile force to the batter head, or the batter head. At least a part of the contact portion which is in contact with the batter head when not being percussed is separated from the batter head at a time of percussing of the beater and is brought into contact with the batter head again after percussing.

    摘要: A drum beater shaft with a flexible coupling means disposed between the base portion of the shaft and the head portion of the shaft is disclosed. The base portion of the shaft is fixed and hingedly attached, typically, to a pedal operated actuator. The head portion of the shaft contains a striking device used to contact the drum when actuated by the pedal. In one preferred embodiment, the flexible coupling means disposed between the base portion and head portion of the drum beater shaft takes the form of a spring surrounded by an elastic sheath. In another preferred embodiment, the flexible coupling means takes the form of a universal joint surrounded by an elastic sheath, In yet another preferred embodiment, the flexible coupling means takes the form of a ball an socket joint surrounded by and elastic sheath.

    摘要: The present invention aims at providing bronze alloy for a musical instrument that has high strength and processability and is provided with excellent acoustic characteristics by addition of Zr. The bronze alloy for a musical instrument according to the present invention has a component composition that contains 18% by mass to 26% by mass of Sn, 0.0005% by mass to 0.25% by mass of Zr, and a remainder consisting of Cu and inevitable impurities. Bronze alloy for a musical instrument having high strength and processability is obtained by setting the component composition as described above. Furthermore, from the frequency analysis result shown in FIG. 6A, in Example 13, higher harmonic components increase and low frequency waves also increase as compared with Comparative Example 2, and it is known that the enhancement of sound qualities such as complexity of beat sounds, profound feeling, and audibility is obtained.

    摘要: A musical instrument has at least a first rototom and a second rototom with their respective drum heads facing an opposite direction from each other. The musical instrument has two rototoms with each rototom having a first hoop supporting a drum head, a spider support with a second hoop, a tension hoop and an annulus. A generally horizontal shaft portion extends between the first hoop and the second hoop, wherein the spider support is movable on the shaft portion to vary a separation distance between the first hoop and the second hoop. A connector member is situated between the annuli of the first and second rototum to support the rototoms with their respective drum heads facing opposite directions.
