    摘要: A quick-set clevis joint for a three-phase electric disconnect switch linkage includes a clevis housing having a spring chamber axially aligned and disposed around a linkage pipe extending through the clevis housing. A spring positioned within the spring chamber provides play in the linkage. First and second thrust disks compress the spring in a first axial direction with the first thrust disk pushed against a first spring chamber end wall when the linkage pipe moves in the first axial direction while the clevis housing is blocked from moving in the first axial direction. In addition. the first and second thrust disks compress the spring in the second axial direction with the second thrust disk pushed against the second spring chamber end wall when the linkage pipe moves in the second axial direction while the clevis housing is blocked from moving in the second axial direction.

    摘要: Disclosed in a high voltage switch operating mechanism which utilizes energy stored in a spiral spring to drive the high voltage switches from either the open to the closed or the closed to the open position. The spring can be charged either by a manual tool or by an electric motor. The switch can be tripped by either electric or manual trip mechanisms. Manual and electric trip interlock assemblies are provided to prevent the switch operating mechanism from being tripped either manually or electrically while the spring is being charged. A mechanism is provided to prevent the charging of the spring by the electric motor when the manual tool is used to charge the spring. Another mechanism is provided to decouple the operating mechanism from the switch. To allow testing of the operating mechanism without change of the switch state. The decoupling mechanism locks the switch to its present position before the decoupling is complete allowing the energy in the operating spring to be dissipated.

    摘要: A compact load break switch having at least one vacuum interrupter connected between two terminals carried by respective insulating bushings through a current exchange assembly. The vacuum interrupter is disposed within one of the insulating bushings, and a current exchange insulating housing having portions which extend telescopically into both insulating bushings, provides adequate creepage distance through air from the vacuum interrupter and the current exchange assembly to a grounded housing for the load break switch. Also, a current transformer is disposed about the insulating housing to provide remote indication of the flow of fault current through the current exchange assembly. The switch operating mechanism includes: a torsion spring which when fully charged, is capable of opening and closing the switch several times; a motor driven spring charging mechanism, for fully recharging the torsion spring after each switch operation; a solenoid actuated latch mechanism which may be remotely actuated to open or close the switch; a lockout mechanism for preventing closure of the switch when the torsion spring has insufficient stored energy to open the switch thereafter without being recharged; auxiliary switches for remote indication of the position of the load break switch; and manually-opened mechanisms for recharging the torsion spring and operating the load break switch.
