Abstract:
A cable-jacket removal tool is described. The tool includes cutting unit that provides a cutting cylinder that carries a blade and a die. The blade is adjustable to provide a desired depth of cut into the cable jacket. The die is interchangeable and selectable based on a diameter or gage of cable to be stripped. A drive unit that is adapted to be driven by a common, handheld, battery operated drill is also provided. The drive unit rotates the cutting cylinder and the blade carried thereby about the circumference of the cable. The drill is coupled to the drive unit such that the axis of rotation of the drill and the cutting cylinder are substantially parallel and an operator can easily apply a force on the tool via the drill in a direction substantially parallel to those axes of rotation.
Abstract:
A peeling apparatus 1 includes a first peeling die and a second peeling die respectively including a pair of cutting blades 251 that peels the insulating film by being moved in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the conductive wire material 2 to cut the insulating film, and a support die 253 that supports a side surface of the conductive wire material 2 from a downstream side in a moving direction of the cutting blades 251 at the time of cutting by the cutting blades 251, the support die 253 of the first peeling die including a convex portion 2533 protruding toward the conductive wire material 2.
Abstract:
A manually-operated wire stripper is a device for cutting and removing the electrical insulation from an electrical wire. The device includes a base plate onto which a first mounting plate and a second mounting plate are perpendicularly mounted. A first rod is rotatably mounted through the first mounting plate and the second mounting plate. A cutting assembly is mounted for longitudinal movement to the first rod and may be moved into position such that a blade of the cutting assembly is aligned with a selected slot from a plurality of wire slots traversing through the base plate. An electrical wire may be stripped by inserting the electrical wire through the selected slot, creating a cut in the electrical insulation with the blade, and then manually pulling the electrical wire through the selected slot to remove the electrical insulation along the length of the electrical wire.
Abstract:
Stripping apparatus (4) for an electrical bar conductor (8) having a metal core with two longer sides (12) and two shorter sides (16) coated with an electrically insulating coating (20). The apparatus (4) comprises a first stripping portion (24) that at least partly houses the conductor (8) arranged along a prevailing extension (X-X), so as to rest on one of said longer sides (12) cantilevered relative to a pair of supports (28). The first stripping station (24) houses a first pair of broaches (40), opposite to one another and arranged at opposite sides relative to the conductor (8), said broaches (40) being axially movable relative to a cross working direction (Y-Y) perpendicular to the prevailing extension (X-X). The broaches (40) are aligned with said stripping portion (36) relative to the prevailing extension (X-X), so as to carry out the removal of the insulating coating (20) at the stripping portion (36) comprised cantilevered between the supports (28).

Abstract:
Firstly, the tip portion of the braided sheath S3 exposed at the terminal thereof by stripping the outer jacket off S4 is widened into the shape of a funnel. Then the internal blades 9 disposed in the shape of a two-piece cylinder hold the periphery of the portion of the braided sheath not to be removed, and the cylindrical external blade 16 is inserted between the braided sheath S3 and the internal insulating material S2 to catch and cut the braided sheath S3 by means of the external blade 16 and the internal blades 16a and 9a.
Abstract:
A coupling device for coupling an electrical wire to a pull line includes a main body, a connector, a blade and a fixating element. The main body has a longitudinal direction. The connector is for connecting the main body to the pull line. The blade is coupled to the main body. The main body forms a space for receiving the electrical wire. The blade is configured to create a cut in the electrical wire. The fixating element is configured to fixate the blade in the cut. The fixating element is moveable relative to the main body. The main body includes an opening for receiving the fixating element. The opening is at an offset from the blade along the longitudinal direction.
