Abstract: The disclosure relates to an AC-DC conversion device for converting an alternating current (AC) voltage into a direct current (DC) voltage, the AC-DC conversion device including an AC input terminal for receiving an AC voltage and an AC-DC conversion stage being configured top convert the AC voltage into a first DC voltage, convert the AC voltage into a second DC voltage, and output the second DC voltage at an output of the AC-DC conversion device. The AC-DC conversion device further includes a partial power DC-DC converter configured to regulate the second DC voltage based on a required voltage across the output of the AC-DC conversion device. The disclosure further relates to a voltage converter circuit comprising such an AC-DC conversion device and an output for providing an isolated output voltage.

Abstract: In a switching power supply, a rectifying circuit outputs a first voltage. A switching circuit switches the first voltage into a switching voltage. An output circuit generates a second voltage based on the switching voltage. A feedback circuit generates the feedback signal based on the first and second voltages, and includes a carrier wave generation circuit that generates a carrier wave. The carrier wave has a non-linear shape at its rising edge and/or falling edge. A PWM circuit generates a PWM signal based on a comparison between the first voltage and a voltage of the carrier wave. Due to the non-linear shape, as the first voltage is higher, a pulse width of the PWM signal is changeable more greatly based on a change in the first voltage. A low-pass filter generates the feedback signal based on the PWM signal.

Abstract: A power converter includes: a rectifying and boosting unit that rectifies first alternating-current power supplied from a commercial power supply and boosts a voltage of the first alternating-current power; a capacitor connected to an output end of the rectifying and boosting unit; an inverter to convert power output from the rectifying and boosting unit and the capacitor into second alternating-current power, and output the second alternating-current power to a device; and a control unit that reduces a current flowing through the capacitor by controlling the rectifying and boosting unit and by controlling the inverter such that the inverter outputs, to the device, the second alternating-current power containing a ripple dependent on a ripple of power flowing from the rectifying and boosting unit into the capacitor. The control unit controls in accordance with a load state.
