摘要: A system and method for operating a plurality of evaporator units is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a controller communicably coupled to each evaporator unit, a current state of operation of the respective evaporator unit. A state of operation of each evaporator unit includes first and second modes of operation. The method includes receiving, by the controller, a current speed of a fan of the respective evaporator unit. Responsive to the state of operation of the plurality of evaporator units, the method further includes operating, by the controller, each of the plurality of evaporator units, to change the speed of the respective fans from a first speed to a speed different from the first speed. Operation of the fans of the plurality of evaporator units at the speed different from the first speed enables the plurality of evaporator units to operate within a desirable range of cooling efficiency.

摘要: A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes: a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor, a condenser, an expansion device, and an evaporator are connected by pipes, and refrigerant circulates; a high-pressure sensor that detects a pressure of the refrigerant on a discharge side of the compressor; a first temperature sensor that detects a temperature of the refrigerant on an outlet side of the condenser; and a controller that determines that the high-pressure sensor is abnormal, when the compressor is in operation and the temperature detected by the first temperature sensor is higher than a saturated liquid temperature or a saturated gas temperature that is calculated from the pressure detected by the high-pressure sensor.

The cryocooler includes a motorized and/or actively balanced expander configured to drive and/or balance motion of a displacer of the expander. The expander includes a magnet ring fixed to the displacer and a motor coil disposed within a cylinder head of the motorized and/or actively balanced expander.

摘要: A power converter includes: a rectifying and boosting unit that rectifies first alternating-current power supplied from a commercial power supply and boosts a voltage of the first alternating-current power; a capacitor connected to an output end of the rectifying and boosting unit; an inverter to convert power output from the rectifying and boosting unit and the capacitor into second alternating-current power, and output the second alternating-current power to a device; and a control unit that reduces a current flowing through the capacitor by controlling the rectifying and boosting unit and by controlling the inverter such that the inverter outputs, to the device, the second alternating-current power containing a ripple dependent on a ripple of power flowing from the rectifying and boosting unit into the capacitor. The control unit controls in accordance with a load state.

摘要: A refrigerant leak management system includes a return inlet assembly and a purge exhaust outlet assembly. The system also includes a sensor configured to detect refrigerant proximate an air handling enclosure of a HVAC unit. The system further includes a controller configured to control the system to drive air from a conditioned interior space of a building into an external environment via the purge exhaust outlet assembly when the sensor detects the refrigerant proximate the air handling enclosure by: actuating the return inlet assembly to close the return inlet assembly, actuating the purge exhaust outlet assembly to open the purge exhaust outlet assembly, and activating a reversible supply fan of the HVAC unit in a reverse direction.

摘要: A method for increasing working gas flow rate through gas bearings of a free piston, gamma configured Stirling heat pump to avoid failure of the gas bearings while maintaining thermal cooling power. The Stirling heat pump lifts heat from a storage chamber and has pistons that are driven in reciprocation at an operating frequency by linear electric motors. A temperature control maintains a steady state storage chamber temperature by sensing storage chamber temperature and modulating piston amplitude. The invention comprises (a) driving the pistons with linear electric motors that are driven by a variable frequency, AC power source; (b) sensing the pistons' amplitude of reciprocation; and (c) if the sensed piston amplitude is less than a selected piston activation amplitude, increasing the frequency of the AC power source to increase the Stirling heat pump's operating frequency. That decreases thermal cooling power which causes the temperature control to increase piston amplitude.

摘要: A system includes an electronic power converter and a controller. The electronic power converter supplies power to one or more motor drives of an HVAC system. The controller obtains a plurality of pulse width modulation (PWM) algorithms. Each PWM algorithm has an associated spectrum of frequencies. The controller further determines one or more resonance frequencies associated with the HVAC system. The controller also selects a first PWM algorithm from the plurality of PWM algorithms wherein the spectrum of frequencies of the first PWM algorithm lacks frequency peaks that overlap with the one or more resonance frequencies associated with the HVAC system. The controller further operates the electronic power converter according to the first PWM algorithm.
