摘要: An image processing apparatus determines an embedding method for embedding sub information into a main image to be printed on a recording layer based on the degree of optical shielding of a protection layer or a security layer formed on the surface of the recording layer, on which an image is to be printed, with respect to the surface of the recording layer in a recording medium, and generates a composite image obtained by embedding the sub information into the main image by the determined embedding method as the image to be printed on the recording layer of the recording medium.

摘要: A system and a method for secure remote informed watermark detection making use of a side-information. The system in overview comprises a remote detector and a server computing system wherein a database with side-information assigned to specific descriptors of data signals is stored at the server computing system and wherein a remote detector intending to identify the watermark of a data signal will derive the descriptor of the data signal and subsequently contact the trusted server computing system in order to obtain the necessary side-information for the informed watermark detection.

摘要: A system and method are provided for selecting frames of a compressed video stream that may be used for client-side watermarking. In general, a content source evaluates a number of Intra-Frames (I-Frames) in the compressed video stream using a sample watermark that is similar to actual watermarks that may be used for client-side watermarking. More specifically, each of a number of I-Frames in the compressed video stream is evaluated by first watermarking the I-Frame with the sample watermark. Associated frames in the compressed video stream are then decoded using the watermarked I-Frame. An error value for the decoded video frames is then computed. If the error value is outside of a predetermined error threshold range, the I-Frame is selected as an I-Frame that may be used for client-side watermarking.

摘要: An image processing device, which includes: an original reception unit that receives an original image; a dot image generation unit that generates, on the basis of additive information to be added to the original image, a dot image in which a plurality of dots each formed by one or more pixels are arranged; a state alteration unit that, when any of the dots in the dot image is determined to be not extractable, alters a state of the non-extractable dot on the basis of a relationship between a position on the dot image generated by the dot image generation unit and a corresponding position on the original image; and a composite image generation unit that generates a composite image by superimposing, on the original image, the dot image having the state of the non-extractable dot altered by the state alteration unit.

摘要: A framework is provided for reducing the number of locations modified when hiding data, such as a digital watermark, in binary data. The framework complements data hiding techniques, such as digital watermarking techniques. After determining potential embedding locations according to an underlying technique, a data structure is created with values associated with those locations. A parity calculation is performed on the values in the data structure. The calculated parity is compared with hidden data to determine locations for modifications. Manipulations are then performed to reduce the total number of modifications needed to represent the hidden data. Modifications are made to the binary data according to the underlying technique. During decoding of the hidden data, the same locations can be determined, the same data structure can be created with the modified values, and a parity calculation is then performed to decode the hidden data.
