    摘要: In order to improve the performance of a stereo phonograph cartridge which includes a base, first and second piezoelectric transducers, first and second individual elastomeric blocks mounting the first and second transducers to the base depending downwardly in a cantilevered manner in horizontal spaced relationship, first and second separate elastomeric stabilizers mounted to the base in horizontal spaced relationship with each other and directly below the first and second transducers, a resolver having four connecting points contacting respectively to the first and second transducers and the first and second stabilizers, a pivot anchor coupling the resolver in a tensioned manner to the base, the pivot anchor being attached to the resolver at a point which is equidistant from each of the four connecting points, and a stylus bar extending from the resolver along the axis of the pivot anchor, the stylus diameter is reduced to thereby reduce stylus mass, the size of the resolver and stabilizers is reduced to permit reducing the vertical tracking angle between the stylus and the record surface, and the elastomeric stiffness of the stabilizers and transducer mounting is reduced and, to compensate for the rise and fall in cartridge output and the imbalance between vertical and lateral output caused by these measures, an elastomeric coupler is inserted between each transducer and its associated coupling point, a dynamic resonant damper is attached to the side of the transducer opposite each coupling point and a dynamic balancing weight inserted in the resolver.

    摘要: In a pickup cartridge of moving-coil type, the components of movement of a cantilever in the vertical and horizontal directions are individually detected to produce two kinds of electromotive forces respectively proportional to the velocity of the detected vertical and horizontal components of movement. The sum and difference signals of the two kinds of electromotive forces are separately obtained for stereophonic reproduction of signals recorded on a recorded disk. The vibration system is given different vibration characteristics for vertical movements thereof than those for horizontal movements thereof, without sacrificing electrical output characteristics such as channel separation characteristic and low frequency response characteristic. First and second coils are arranged so that the axis of the first coil is parallel to the record disk and the axis of the second coil is perpendicular to the record disk.

    摘要: A pickup cartridge of the moving magnet type. The vibration center of its vibrating system is stabilized by being concentrated at a certain point without appreciable fluctuations, regardless of the vibration amplitude of the vibrating system. Also, it has a very high conversion efficiency of its displacement-magnetism converting system for converting the positional changes of this vibrating system to changes in magnetism. This conversion efficiency is almost constant regardless of the vibration amplitude of the vibrating system.A damping member is interposed between an armature magnet and a member for supporting this armature magnet. A cantilever attached to the magnet is pulled, jointly with the armature magnet, by a tension wire connected to the base of this cantilever, toward the supporting member in the axial direction of the cantilever. The base end of the cantilever is positioned substantially at the center of that surface of the armature magnet which faces the supporting member via the damping member. The other surface of the armature magnet faced by the pole pieces of the displacement-magnetism converting system is a plane having a substantially constant radius of curvature centering around the base of the cantilever.

    摘要: A stereophonic pickup cartridge for reproducing two channel sound from record discs which are cut according to 45*-45* system, comprises one or more armatures of high magnetic permeability material and mounted on a cantilever which transmits vibrations of a stylus tip, a permanent magnet secured to a cartridge body adjacent the armature so as to provide magnetic excitation thereto, and an electromagnetic current generating arrangement responsive to a change in magnetic flux passing through the armature from the permanent magnet which is caused by vibration of the armature. The electromagnetic arrangement includes two pairs of pole pieces located on opposite sides of and with an inclination of 45* with respect to an imaginary vertical plane passing through the axis of the cantilever so that the pole pieces of each pair extend in directions perpendicular to the respective modulation walls of a sound groove, the pairs of pole pieces forming independent gaps for each channel, and the armatures being positioned to be separately operable within the independent gaps. The pickup cartridge provides good channel separation, reduced equivalent mass of the vibrating system and improved frequency response as well as improved sound groove tracking.
