    摘要: In a pickup cartridge of the moving magnet type, the components of movement of a cantilever in the vertical and horizontal directions are individually detected to produce two kinds of electromotive forces respectively proportional to the velocity of the detected vertical and horizontal components of movement. The sum and difference signals of the two kinds of electromotive forces are separately obtained for stereophonic reproduction of signals recorded on a recorded disk. The vibration system is given different vibration characteristics for vertical movements thereof than those for horizontal movements thereof, without sacrificing electrical output characteristics such as channel separation characteristic and low frequency response characteristic.

    摘要: A magnetic stereo phonograph pick-up cartridge is disclosed. An elongated stylus and an attached permanent magnet are resiliently supported by a molded rubber bearing block which surrounds the magnet and engages under compression with the inner side-walls of a stylus housing sleeve. The molded block is shaped to also serve as a cantilevered inertial damping member which is held in mechanical contact with the magnet. The bearing portion of the block is fabricated from a first material exhibiting high compliance and the inertial damping portion of the block is fabricated from a second material exhibiting high damping characteristics, especially in the high audio frequency range.

    摘要: A transducer comprises a body including a permanent magnet having a pair of pole pieces which define a magnetic gap therebetween, and a stylus assembly including a pair of coils which are positioned within the magnetic gap. The stylus assembly comprises a cantilever arm having a stylus tip at one end, a non-magnetic carrier secured to the other end of the cantilever arm, a pair of armatures in the form of rods of a magnetic material and carried on the carrier, each of the armatures having one of the coils disposed thereon, and support means for mounting the cantilever arm and the carrier on the body in an oscillatable manner. The coils and the associated armatures are located on the opposite sides of a first imaginary vertical plane which includes the axis of the cantilever arm and lie in a second imaginary vertical plane which is perpendicular to the first plane. Each armature has an axis which is parallel to a modulation axis of a sound groove of a record disk, as projected onto the second plane so as to intersect the axis of the cantilever arm. The point of intersection between the axes of the armatures is spaced from the axis of the arm in the second vertical plane and lies in the first vertical plane. The pair of pole pieces are located on the opposite sides of the second vertical plane in a manner such that the flux passing through the magnetic gap is substantially perpendicular to the second vertical plane. The body is provided with output terminals, and the stylus assembly include lead wires on which voltages induced across the respective coils are produced, the lead wires being connected with the output terminals.

    摘要: An electromagnetic or magnetodynamic transducer-sound pickup comprises a phonograph needle which is connected to either a permanent magnet or a soft iron magnetic member and which is mounted for oscillation in front of, or between a plurality of parallel spaced apart pole rods which are provided with energizing coils. The pole rods are connected at one end to a pole plate. Mechanical oscillations of the magnetic system are suppressed in the zone where the pole plate is connected to the pole rods or in the zone where the pole plate is connected to the permanent magnet by an envelope of plastic which is injection molded around the plate and the rods.

    摘要: A pickup cartridge comprises essentially a cartridge body provided with an inducing magnet and a stylus assembly which is detachably installed in the cartridge body. This stylus assembly comprises: a vibrating structure comprising a stylus, a cantilever arm, and an armature; a tubular guard member surrounding this vibrating structure; a damper for holding the vibrating structure in a manner permitting its oscillatory vibration within this guard member; a tension wire for pulling the vibrating structure in the direction opposite to that in which it is pulled as a result of the frictional force between the stylus and the record disc; and a magnetic member for anchoring one end of the wire and, at the same time, when the stylus assembly is installed in the cartridge body, intimately contacting the inducing magnet thereby to direct and pass the magnetic flux thereof toward the armature.
