    摘要: A process for preparing a fiberglass insulation product, including the steps of: (a) providing a layer of kraft paper, (b) coating the kraft paper layer with from 2 to 10 pounds of HDPE or of polypropylene per 3000 square feet of the paper to form an HDPE-kraft laminate or a polypropylene-kraft laminate, (c) coating the HDPE-kraft or polypropylene-kraft laminate with from 3 to 10 pounds of LDPE per 3000 square feet of the HDPE-kraft laminate or polypropylene-kraft laminate to form an LDPE-HDPE-kraft laminate or an LDPE-polypropylene-kraft laminate, (d) adjusting the temperature of the LDPE-HDPE-kraft laminate or the LDPE-polypropylene-kraft laminate so that the LDPE becomes tacky while the HDPE or polypropylene remains solid, (e) providing a layer of fiberglass wool, and (f) contacting the LDPE layer of the LDPE-HDPE-kraft laminate or of the LDPE-polypropylene-kraft laminate with the fiberglass wool layer with pressure and cooling to bond the LDPE-HDPE-kraft laminate or LDPE-polypropylene-kraft laminate to the fiberglass wool layer to form a fiberglass insulation product.

    摘要: A stud panel and method of making a stud panel where interior sheathing may be a temporary piece of transparent plastic or a permanent panel of sheet rock so as to retain insulation in place and minimize scarfing. The stud panel may include studs having through holes extending in a length direction of the stud panel such that insulation in adjacent inner regions separated by such studs interlock with each other and contribute to a structural integrity of the stud panel. The stud panel may include a space between inner studs and one of the exterior and interior sheathing so as to provide a thermal and sound break between the exterior and inner sheathing so as to minimize heat, air and sound transfer between the exterior and interior sheathing. A method of making the stud panel is further disclosed, where such a method may include the step of incrementally introducing insulation from a closed end of an inner region to an open end of an inner region and may further include the step of automatically introducing insulation into the inner regions of the stud panel.

    摘要: To supply a natural feathered fiber insulator, presenting a better insulation performance than the conventional insulator, emitting less hazardous material when disposed and incinerated, being mostly biodecomposed when buried. For the manufacturing, natural feathers are degreased and washed with alcohol 1, and after drying, are processed into fiber shape 2. 1 to 99 weight % of this feathered fiber obtained as component material and 1 to 99 weight % of PP/PET core sheath composite fiber as binder are compounded, and mixed uniformly 3. The mixture is laminated to obtain a required density 4, and heat molded by a hot air dryer 5. Feathered fiber and core sheath composite fiber's core fiber get caught complexly, allowing to increase the whole aperture rate considerably. As feathered fiber is a natural organic substance, it does not emit hazardous material when incinerated, and biodecomposed if buried in the earth.
