    摘要： This invention provides 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl propene/1,1-difluoroethylene copolymers additionally containing from about 0.1 to 30 mol percent of perhalogenated monomer selected from the group consisting of tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene and mixtures thereof, and method for making them. Addition of the perhalogenated monomer reduces melting point and crystallization temperature of the copolymer, thereby improving its melt processing characteristics, without seriously deteriorating its good mechanical properties and chemical resistance.

    摘要： A method is described whereby olefin terpolymers, consisting of ethylene, an alpha olefin and a polyene having in the molecule, in addition to the double bond participating in the formation of the macromolecule, at least one conjugated double bond system, are stabilied against oxidative aging without destroying their characteristic high vulcanization rate by reacting them with a dienophilic agent represented by one of the following formulae:

    WHEREIN R and R6 may be an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl radical having up to 8 carbon atoms, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 may be hydrogen or alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl radicals having up to 8 carbon atoms, the R1-R2 and R-R pairs may be divalent radicals forming condensed rings.

    摘要： Water dispersible pressure sensitive adhesive compositions comprising ionomeric copolymers of hydrophilic and hydrophobic monomers. In their preferred form the compositions comprise a copolymer formed of an ionic monomer such as a water soluble alkali metal salt of an Alpha , Beta unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, a nonionic monomer such as a water soluble polyoxyalkylene ester of an Alpha , Beta unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, and copolymerizable monomers comprising an Alpha , Beta unsaturated monocarboxylic acid and a insoluble alkyl ester of such an acid. The compositions in dry form are normally tacky and substantially moisture stable. The compositions are useful in the making of various types of tapes, including transfer tapes.

    摘要： This application discloses acrylic fibers having high tenacity, a break elongation of 8-18% and a shrinkage in boiling water of 13-26% in combination with an X-ray porosity index less than about 1.5 in the void size range of each of 45-90A and 90-140A and a molecular orientation of at least about 66.5, the particular fiber having the chemical composition of 93-95% acrylonitrile, 5-7% methylacrylate and up to 0.5% sodium styrene sulfonate. The fibers are prepared by specific drawing, drying and redrawing steps.
