Abstract:
An insulator for a drum of a concrete truck is provided. Because temperature is a factor in the time in which concrete cures, thermal conditions during transport are of paramount concern. There have been efforts to alleviate this problem by providing insulating blankets that control temperature better. However, until now, a durable system that effectively insulates concrete while in transport has not been available. Furthermore, construction of an insulating system large enough to cover a concrete mixer gives rise to numerous fabrication difficulties. With the introduction of a polyethylene foam interposed between truck tarp material, a convenient system that is easily coupled and decoupled from a truck is available that is both durable and cost effective.
Abstract:
A precisely measured removable cover for reusable beverage containers with releasable closures. The cover has a flexible sheet with a graphical display imprinted on one side and a cover fastener for removably fastening the cover to a container. The sheet is advantageously adapted to substantially cover the side walls of the container. The cover fastener has one or more releasable closures, and at least one of the releasable closures includes a fluked tab interlock locking tab and slot structure, wherein the fluked tab is on one end of the cover and the slot is proximate the opposite end of the cover and parallel to the fluked tab. A cam/slot paired closure is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A precisely measured removable cover for reusable beverage containers. A covering of independently resilient material is precisely cut to fit a given size and shape of pot, and the material has imprinted on it a desired promotional or advertising message and/or graphics. The covering material is removably fastened with releasable closures to the outside of the pot in such a way as not to impair significantly the natural independent resiliency of the material. Thus, dents in the pot do not generally show in the covering surface because it retains its independent resiliency, even if the blow was delivered through the covering surface. Messages may be changed as often as suits the promotional and decorative needs of the owner of the pot, so the display surface is always timely and in top condition. An optional “window” permits display of interchangeable labels on the inside of the covering. When the display surface is fully removed, the original surface of the pot is substantially restored to its former appearance. Optionally, a protective plastic covering or overlaminant is attached to the print side of the covering material, so that when the printed cover is in its removed state, the printing will not be accidentally damaged by scratching. Some embodiments employ a nylon fabric cover material with promotional printing.
Abstract:
An insulated lunch container including a bottom insulating member, a top insulating member; and a cover member having pockets for receiving the top and bottom insulating members therein. The top and bottom insulating members are held within the pockets by sets of hook and pile fasteners positioned within channels formed on the exterior surfaces of the top and bottom insulating members.
Abstract:
A flexible heat protective cover adapted for disposition around and securement to hot water pipes in order to provide both heat insulating qualities and to protect an individual from coming into contact with a hot water pipe. The heat protective cover generally comprises an elongated section adapted to extend around a length of pipe and a heel section adapted to extend over an elbow fitting in a water line. Velcro fasteners or similar fastener are used to releasably secure ends of the cover about the pipe. A strap extends through opposite sides of the heat protective cover and is sized to extend about a water pipe for providing permanent securement of the heat protective cover to the hot water pipe. A seepage hole may also be included in the heel section to collect and permit drainage of condensed water.
Abstract:
A unitary flexible thermal insulation jacket for valves and pipe fittings is disclosed. The jacket is universal in the sense that it properly fits valves and pipe fittings of various manufacturers. It is secured snugly in enclosing to a valve or pipe fitting by attached draw cords, rendering the jacket readily removable, reusable and thermally efficient.
Abstract:
A one piece beverage insulator in the form of a beverage container holder with an open top that is die cut from a sheet of insulative foam either open cell or closed cell laminated with a surface vinyl film. The one piece beverage insulator die cut pattern is in the form of two mirror image side halves joined by a center bottom shaped to conform to the bottom of a beverage container to be held by the finished holder. The die cut holder pattern is folded over on itself with the side halves aligned but with the inside foam sides of the halves facing out and the side edges are stitched or vinyl welded together after which the holder is pulled inside out through its open top returning the vinyl surface to the outside. This finished holder is stored in a collapsed flat state to be opened when receiving a beverage can or other beverage container to be held and insulated by the holder.
Abstract:
An insulated beverage cozy for use with cold drinking utensils such as a twelve ounce beverage can which comprises a cylindrical body open at its top and having a bottom, said cylindrical body having an inner wall and outer wall formed of fabric and fastened together so as to form a plurality of compartments for holding goose down or other insulative materials, and an elastic top band attached to the top of the cylindrical body for holding the beverage cozy snugly to the beverage container.
