The methods influence material flow during the injection molding process such that a major portion of the materials flowing in opposite directions in the outer rings preferably flow past one another, intermix in a swirling relationship, and/or collide at an angle relative to one another. This results in better material mixing or integration of the flow fronts. In one embodiment, the thickness of the outer ring varies in different portions between adjacent fan blades.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for the production of machine parts which are at least partially provided with a mineral casting. The mineral casting is carried out in a liquid state in at least one part of a housing element (1, 2) of the machine part acting as a casting mould, such that the mineral casting, after hardening, forms a lining element adapted to the inner contour of the housing element (1, 2). The aim of the invention is to enable the mineral cast lining elements (5) to be adapted as accurately as possible to the inner contour of the outer housing (1, 2) without any risk of destroying the mineral cast body (5) occurring when pumps are produced or operated. According to the invention, the inner surfaces of the housing element (1, 2) are treated with a separating means (3) prior to the casting out operation.

    摘要: The present invention provides a miniature gas turbine engine for power generation. The engine has a highly integrated unitary rotor shaft where turbine, compressor and shaft are made in one piece in one fabrication process. The turbine and compressor are positioned back to back on the shaft in an overhung configuration, allowing the front bearings to be located in the cold zone of the engine. Preferably, the Mold SDM fabrication technique is utilized to make the unitary rotor shaft in one monolithic part out of ceramics such as silicon nitride, eliminating the need for post process assembly while strengthening the integrity, reliability, and performance of the unitary rotor shaft. Integrated with a permanent magnet in the unitary rotor shaft, the miniature gas turbine engine can generate electric power of 1 kW or less. Additionally, the axial length of the miniature gas turbine engine is about 100 mm or less. The miniature gas turbine engine according to the present invention is therefore particularly useful for powering lightweight, self-sustaining mobile devices such as unmanned vehicles and-autonomous robots.

    摘要: The present invention provides a set of split bodies for forming a synthetic-resin blower fan through a hollow-article injection molding process, wherein the blower fan integrally includes a circular base, a doughnut-shaped cover portion having an air inlet opening at the center thereof, and a plurality of blades each extending radially between the circular base and the inner surface of the cover portion to define a plurality of radial airflow passages between the adjacent blades. The set of split bodies comprises a first split body including the circular base and a plurality of blade members, and a second split body defining the inner surface of the cover portion and having an outer surface on the opposite side of the first split body. The outer surface of the second split body is formed with a plurality of reservoirs each extending radially in alignment with the corresponding blade member of the first split body to define spaces to be filled with molten synthetic resin in a state where the first and second split bodies are assembled together. Further, each of the reservoirs having a bottom wall formed with a through hole adapted to allow an upper portion of the blade member to be inserted therethrough and tightly fitted therein so that the terminal end of the blade member is exposed into the corresponding reservoir in the assembled position.

    摘要: A bicast vane and shroud rings is provided in which thermal stresses are minimized. The vane has a flange portion along its inner and outer edge. These flange portions extend from the mid-chord of the vane part way towards the leading and trailing edges and follow the camber of the vane. Each of the flange portions has a width greater than that of the vane so has to form an overhang or lip about which conventional shroud rings are cast. As the flange portions approach the leading and trailing edges their width decreases and the overhang blends into the inner and outer edge to form rounded tops and bottoms at the leading and trailing edge. These rounded tops and bottoms reduce stress concentrations in the shroud rings and increase shroud material near these edges. Additionally, a stress relieving member is provided that embraces the top and bottom edges of the thin trailing edge, and inhibits the melting of the trailing edge during bicasting.
