摘要： Method of making an end termination on a reclosable fastener includes providing a reclosable fastener including a first track with a first profile and a second track with a second profile. The first track has an end portion and the second track has an end portion. The first and second profiles are releasably engageable to each other. A plastic slider is slidably mounted to the fastener for movement between an open position and a closed position, and the slider has a separating finger. An end termination is formed at the end portions of the first and second tracks, and the end termination has a shape corresponding to the separating finger.

摘要： A foldable plastic slider for straddling relation with a plastic fastener includes first and second profiles. The straddling slider is adapted to close or open the fastener by movement therealong. The slider comprises a transverse support member, first and second legs, first and second separating fingers, and first and second wings. The transverse support member includes first and second opposing sides, an interior surface, and an outer surface. The first and second legs depend from the respective first and second opposing sides of the support member. The first separating finger extends from the interior surface of the support member. The first separating finger is adapted to open the first and second profiles. The second separating finger extends from the interior surface of the support member. The first and second wings are hingedly attached to the respective first and second opposing sides. The first and second wings have respective first and second openings for receiving the respective first and second legs. The first and second wings have respective first and second cross pieces. Each of the cross pieces includes a main body member and a latch. The first and second wings are folded relative to the support member and each of the latches engages one of the respective legs to install the slider on the fastener.

摘要： An adhesively closable data disk holder constructed of a pair of heat-sealable plastic panels fused together to form an interior pocket with an opening thereto, wherein an additional adhesive layer is fused to the inner surface of one of the holder panels adjacent the opening thereof to facilitate adhesive closure of the opening without the use of an overlying flap. The adhesive layer is constructed of a thin panel of compatibly heat-sealable plastic material, one surface of which carries a pressure sensitive adhesive over which an adhesive release strip is disposed. The adhesive layer is disposed between the outer holder panels so that the adhesive release strip insulates against fusion to its adjacent panel, as the opposing non-adhesive surface of the adhesive layer is heat-sealed to its adjacent holder panel. The resulting data disk holder has a substantially uniform thickness throughout which is particularly beneficial when used in a bindery process.

摘要： A carton blank and carton have a reclosable hinged flap formed from a panel and glue flap of the carton. The flap is opened by depressing a disengaging tab formed in another panel of the carton. The disengaging tab overlies a portion of the flap so that depression of the tab moves the flap to separate the flap from the remainder of the panel in which it is formed. Fifty-percent cuts through the carton panels are used to separate the flaps from the panels.

摘要： A process for producing a tightly sealed bag that can be easily opened by tearing at an edge thereof. According to the process a multiplicity of through cuts are formed along a line in a laminate film having at least one substrate layer and at least one heat seal layer. The laminate film is formed into an open bag with the line of through cuts provided along an edge to be sealed of the bag and edges of the open bag are heat sealed to form a sealed bag. In an alternative embodiment of the process, a multiplicity of through cuts are formed along a line in a substrate film and a heat seal film is laminated to the substrate film provided with the through cuts to form a laminate film prior to forming the sealed bag.

In order to avoid any accumulation of residues of sterilizing agent behind lugs, opening strips or the like a method and an arrangement for finishing an opening arrangement (2) on a packing container (1) are proposed, according to which an external gripping element (3) is placed over the opening region (4) only after the packing container (1) has been filled with the desired contents and has been closed. This is achieved with the help of a sealing unit (9) with a vacuum device (10) and a gas-permeable striplike gripping element (3).

摘要： An opening structure preferably located in a top panel of a one-way packaging container provides a pour opening which can be reclosed after the initial opening. The structure is prepared by positioning and sewing a portion of a strip of web material on the panel, defining a pour opening area within the secured strip portion by applying a cut or weakening line forming a boundary. The pour opening area of the panel is retained in its original position in the panel. Then a second, unsecured portion of the strip is folded back over the first portion to cover the first portion and the pour opening area. Securing zones are produced to secure the second strip portion to the panel both within the pour opening area and a surrounding region to thereby obtain a hermetically sealed opening structure on the packaging container. The pour opening is uncovered by lifting the second strip portion so that the cut-out section of the panel is removed. After the desired quantity of the contents of the container has been discharged, the second strip portion and the cut-out section of the panel attached thereto is folded back over the pour opening so that snap-action engagement of the edges of the cut-out panel section with the edges of the pour opening results in a closure which, although no longer hermetically sealed, is mechanically secured.

Loops of the string (72) can, thereby, be spaced axially along the rolls (28).
