Abstract:
A quick connector structure for a pneumatic valve contains a body, at least one locking unit, and a control set. The body includes at least one inserting hole and an air intake, wherein an airtight washer is fixed between the at least one inserting hole. The body also includes at least one through orifice. The at least one locking unit includes at least one limiting block, each of which has a retaining segment with plural locking teeth and has a defining segment, and between each limiting block and the at least one through orifice is defined a closing ring to close an air flowing gap between each limiting block and the at least one through orifice. The control set is fitted with the body and alternatively presses the defining segment to control each limiting block to move into and to position in the at least one inserting hole.
Abstract:
A valve assembly including a base portion and a cap portion attached to the base portion. The valve assembly also includes a biasing member disposed between the base portion and the cap portion. The biasing member is adjacent a perforation formed in the cap portion. A shuttle assembly is in contact with the biasing member. The shuttle assembly includes a shuttle and a plug member. The plug member is attached to the shuttle.
Abstract:
The specification discloses a tire inflation pressure regulator facilitating precise tire inflation. The regulator includes a body, a two-position valve within the body, and a rotational lock. The body includes an air inlet, an air outlet, and an air vent. In one position, the valve directs air from the air inlet to the air outlet when the tire pressure is below a preset level; and, in a second position, the valve directs air from the air inlet to the air vent when the tire pressure exceeds the preset level to prevent overfilling. The valve moves rapidly between the two positions, and is unstable between the two positions. The valve includes a regulator enabling the preset level to be adjusted. The rotational lock enables the regulator to be screwed onto a tire stem, but prevents removal of the regulator from the tire stem without a key.
Abstract:
A seal for vent openings of inflatable structures is provided that includes an interior and an exterior component that can be affixed to each other and to the inflatable structure and allows for higher pressures to be maintained within the inflatable structure.
Abstract:
With the invention, a measuring device is proposed for the measurement of motor vehicle wheels (10) in which, with the aid of profiled measuring rolls (20), the different areas of the rim (11) can be measured. These measuring rolls (20) are arranged so they can be displaced in the X and Z directions on positioning and measuring sleds (40) designed as cross-sleds. The cross-sleds (40) are equipped with linear motors (41, 43), with which the positioning and pressing pressure of the measuring rolls can be varied and which, at the same time, detect the deviations occurring during the measurement. The measured data thus obtained are processed in a process computer.
Abstract:
A diaphragm-type tire pressure indicator is fixedly fastened to the air nozzle of a vehicle tire for indicating a low pressure of the tire. A flexible diaphragm is mounted in a receiving chamber in the casing of the tire pressure indicator. A push rod is connected to the flexible diaphragm for being moved up and down with the diaphragm subject to the status of the tire pressure of the vehicle tire. A sleeve is mounted in the receiving chamber and is around the push rod. A spring is sleeved onto the push rod.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to a valve lock for use in conjunction with a valve stem contained on an inflatable tire. The device comprises a hollow tubular component that receives the valve stem. A plurality of fingers are attached to the inner wall of the tube component and grip the valve stem holding the tube component in place. Also disclosed is a locking cap that threadedly engages the fingers causing them to tighten against the exterior of the valve stem. The locking cap can only be removed with the use of a matching key that is inserted into matching indentations on the locking cap.
Abstract:
A tire pressure indicator which includes a valve stem over-pressure indicator and a valve stem cap under-pressure indicator. The valve stem includes an air porting scheme that releases over-inflation air for escape through a whistling reed configuration. The valve stem cap includes a top translucent panel for coaction with a diaphragm spring contained therebelow. Normal tire pressure distends the diaphragm spring to an upward convex attitude in contact with the underside of the translucent panel to project a visual indicator.
Abstract:
A hand held mechanism that can be applied to a conventional tire inflation valve on a vehicle tire to facilitate a tire deflation operation. The mechanism includes a rod-like element that automatically engages a tire check valve to open said valve for tire venting purposes. The mechanism also includes a hollow tubular called wall structure adapted to receive the sensing head of a conventional pressure gage, whereby the progress of the tire-deflation operation can be ascertained, as necessary to properly terminate the operation at a desired tire pressure. Mechanisms of the described type can be utilized on all wheels of a multi-wheeled vehicle to permit simultaneously deflation of all vehicle tires, thereby greatly reducing the time required to achieve a total tire deflation operation.
Abstract:
A flare fitting assembly is described comprising a pair of flare fittings, at least one of which is threadably fitted with a Schrader-type valve, and a separable Schrader-type valve actuating member. The valve actuating member is provided with a central receiving cup for releasably capturing the end of a valve stem extending from the valve. The actuating member serves to depress the valve stem and open the valve as the fittings are coupled together. The central receiving cup of the member serves to maintain the member axially aligned with respect to the axis of the fittings and releasably retain the member on the stem when the fittings are decoupled.
