    Abstract: A universal swing hinge assembly for a gravity-closing gate can be attached to a guardrail on either side of a guardrail opening. A hinge pin can be disposed through the universal swing hinge assembly and gravity-closing gate for attaching the gravity-closing gate thereto. The universal swing hinge assembly can have a C-configuration that allows the gravity-closing gate to swing open in either direction from a lowest neutral position. A recess of the universal swing hinge assembly can have an angled hinge face that opens towards the guardrail opening. In operation, the angled hinge face can cause the gravity-closing gate to rise from the lowest neutral position when the gravity-closing gate is opening, and the angled hinge face can cause the gravity-closing gate to return to the lowest neutral position when closing.

    Abstract: A swinging door hinge has a panel and a frame. The frame includes a horizontal portion, and the horizontal portion has an aperture therethrough. An elongated pivot pin is vertically disposed through the aperture. The pivot pin is coupled to the panel such that the pivot pin and the panel rotate about a longitudinal axis of the pivot pin relative to the horizontal portion of the frame. A gripper feature is located on a surface of the pivot pin. The gripper feature engages a corresponding surface on the panel such that when the panel is rotated, a resulting torsional force transferred to the pivot pin is spread over a contact area between the gripper feature and the surface of the panel. Because the torque is transferred over a greater area, stress concentrations in the panel are reduced and the panel is not deformed.

    Abstract: A hinge mounting assembly for an associated door panel is used for mounting to a panel to a storage rack. The rack generally includes at least one post having a front face and a side face. The front face has slots therein and the door panel generally has at least one bore defined therein. The hinge mounting assembly has a post plate and a door clamping member. The post plate has a hinge portion with a first end and a second end. The first end has bearing surfaces and an intermediate helical bearing surface. A door clamping member is pivotally mounted to the post plate. The door clamping member has a hinge post with a bearing surfaces and a helical bearing surface. The helical bearing surfaces enable the hinge mounting assembly to be “self closing” as well as reversibly mounted to the post.
