摘要： The invention includes a necktie fastener system capable of restraining the bottom portion of the necktie close to the shirt of a wearer, and thereby controlling the entire necktie so that it won't fly in the wind, or while leaning over a table. The invention is for use when wearing a shirt having buttons located near the center of the front of the shirt. There is an H shape which is attached to the back of the apron of the necktie by simply hot ironing it. The H shape is relatively flexible allowing easy formation of the various necktie knots. Once the necktie has been tied and adjusted, the wearer inserts the a elongated placket under the horizontal bar and attaches the placket to two adjacent shirt buttons. The resulting combination slidably secures the end of the necktie nearest the bottom of the tie to stay near the shirt of the wearer. This gives control of the entire length of the tie from flying away in the wind or falling down when reaching over a table.

Further, the tie may be slipped away relatively easily. A tie clip (10) of the present invention provides two tie fasteners (12,14) for fastening the tie from two opposite sides. The two tie fasteners (12,14) are connected by a connector (16) that may have a recess (24) for accommodating the narrower end of a necktie. The tie fasteners (12,14) are slidably attached to the connector (16) such that the separation between the two tie fasteners (12,14) may be adjusted for use with necktie with different widths, or in a case when the wearer wishes to clip the tie clip (10) at different positions of the lower end of the tie.

摘要： A method for making a releasably attachable tiepin is provided along with a method of tying a tie therewith. A tie is wrapped around a collar and its ends crossed, and one end of the tie looped over the front and up through the cross-loop and held in place adjacent to the loop by passing a pin through edges of the tie to lock it in place without a complete knot. The tie holding pin includes an elongated pin having an ornament on one end and a removably attachable ornament for attaching to the other end of the pin. The removable ornament is formed with a plastic insert therein having an aperture therethrough for frictionally engaging the pointed end of the pin. A metal point guide is placed over the plastic insert and has curved surfaces to direct the point into the aperture of the plastic insert. The edges of the ornament are rolled over to hold the plastic insert and plastic insert guide in the ornament.
