摘要： A clip comprising a pair of jaws connected by a fulcrum for pivotal movement between opposed positions and an arched spring associated with each jaw for biasing the jaws to one position. Each jaw may be molded unitarily with its associated spring and a part of the fulcrum, the fulcrum parts snap fitting together. The arched springs are mounted in back to back relation, and are suitably connected to the jaws by a living hinge. Actuation of the jaws deflects the springs, causing a rolling contact therebetween, with little frictional loss.

摘要： An identification holder is provided for securing a slotted identification badge and at least one pinned insignia to an item of clothing. The identification holder includes a base member defining a broad portion and an elongate portion depending therefrom. The elongate portion has a reduced width relative to the broad portion and is adapted to extend through the slot of an identification badge to thereby mount the identification badge to the elongate portion. A clip is provided for attaching the identification holder to an item of clothing. A pair of cooperating interlocking members are provided for securing the identification badge to the elongate portion. The broad portion of the base member defines at least one aperture therethrough adapted and arranged to receive the pin of an insignia whereby the insignia is positioned proximate to the identification badge for easy readability.

摘要： A connector for attaching equipment to an underwater cable includes a cylindrical race having a plurality of sections pivotably connected by a hinge. The sections can pivot about the hinge to enable the race to be opened and detached from the cable. The hinge includes a plurality of sockets and a hinge pin received in the sockets. The hinge pin can preferably be retracted from the sockets to unlock the hinge and inserted into the sockets to lock the hinge. A retaining member may be provided to prevent the hinge pin from falling out of the sockets when the hinge pin is retracted.

摘要： A safety collar device prevents choking of an animal when the animal catches the collar on a stationary object while running loose. The device includes a safety enclosure which envelopes the connecting mechanism of the collar (such as the "live" and "dead" rings at the ends of the chain of a choke collar) thus preventing the rings from being caught on the stationary object. The enclosure includes first and second enclosure halves which preferably are hinged to each other and operable between an open and a closed position. When in the closed position, the first and second halves completely conceal the rings of the choke collar. The enclosure has openings for the chain of the collar to pass through but which are sufficiently small to retain the rings within the enclosure. The safety enclosure includes a mechanism for keeping the first and second halves in the closed position.

摘要： Disclosed is a clamp for securing a round article to a support plate. The clamp includes a generally channel-shaped body having a clip which cooperates with one of the legs of the body to retain the article in the channel opening. The clip has a head having an arcuate surface engageable with a surface portion carried by the other leg of the channel-shaped body to prevent removal of the article from the clamp upon application of a tensile force on the article in the direction of the clamp opening. To remove the article, the clip is manually displaced toward the base of the channel body to open the clamp. In another embodiment, a pair of clips lie in opposition one to the other and each clip cooperates with a surface portion carried by a corresponding leg of the clamp to preclude removal of the article from the clamp upon application of a tensile force in a direction tending to remove the article from the clamp through its opening.

摘要： A paperhanging hand tool and method of hanging wallpaper in which a tool comprising an elongated handle and a crosspiece carry a draped over roll of wallpaper cut to wall height with its adhesively coated surfaces facing outwardly, a first length of the roll hanging down from the crosspiece on one side of the tool to face the lower portion of the wall surface to which it is to be applied, the remaining second length of the roll hanging down on the opposite side of the tool with its adhesively coated surface facing the workman who carries the tool by grasping at the lower end of the elongated handle. A clamp is provided near such lower end, having a clamp lever biased toward the clamped shut position and positioned for manipulation of the clamp lever by the thumb of the workman's hand which grasps the tool at its lower end.
