摘要： A method and applicator for applying sheet material to a substrate. The applicator comprises two outwardly facing burnishes, each having an outwardly facing surface. The surfaces are disposed at an included angle of at least 180°, and preferably at least 270°. This geometry allows for positioning sheet material, such as wallpaper, into a corner to begin application at a desired position. Further, this geometry allows the user to conveniently and ergonomically effectively rotate the applicator as the sheet material is being applied. The applicator and sheet material may be provided together in a kit.

摘要： The present invention pertains to a tool for the application of wallpaper border that simplifies the process of applying wallpaper border. The border application tool is especially useful in situations where the border is applied to a wall at its juncture with a ceiling. The border application tool includes a base plate, a spool for holding a roll of wallpaper border, an applicator cylinder for pressing border fed from the spool onto a wall, a paper guide for retaining the border on the application cylinder as it is fed from the spool, and an auxiliary roller that aids in applying the border, especially at corners of rooms. The spool that holds the paper has an adjustable platform that allows wallpaper border of different heights to be supported and applied. In addition, the border application tool includes following elements that provide smooth motion against a surface perpendicular to the wall. The base plate has a handle attached to its other surface. The handle is preferably of sufficient length (or can accept extensions) to permit a user to apply border at ceiling height without use of a ladder.

摘要： A method and device for applying sheet material, such as wallpaper, to a substrate. The applicator is bi-positionable, having a first position where the sheet material is spaced apart from the substrate and a second position where the sheet material contact the substrate. Additionally or alternatively, the applicator may be provided with a control bar. In the first position, the control bar contacts a portion of the sheet material such as its free end. This minimizes the chance of the sheet material prematurely contacting the substrate. In the second position, the sheet material is disengaged from the control bar for application to the substrate. The applicator and sheet material may be provided together in a kit.

摘要： Mesh drywall tape dispensing apparatus includes a chassis with a pistol grip for one-hand operation, a tape reel, a tape guide roller mounted within the chassis, and a tape pressure roller mounted adjacent a front end of the chassis. A tape cutter trigger assembly is mounted within the chassis by the pivot pin of the guide roller and movable into a cutting position. The cutter includes a serrated knife edge directed away from the pressure roller at an acute angle to the tape extending from the guide roller to the pressure roller. A corner roller is pivotally mounted on the chassis for movement into a tape engaging position. The pistol grip and the tape reel are mounted on opposite sides of the chassis and adjacent a rear end with the pressure roller mounted adjacent the front end so that the apparatus is generally bounded by a first plane tangent to the pressure roller and bounding a tape roll on the reel and the corner roller therein and a second plane tangent to the pressure roller and the handle. The first and second planes form an angle of less than ninety degrees.

摘要： A wallpaper applicator comprises a handle portion comprising a gripping portion, a first frame member and a second frame member. The gripping portion, first frame member and second frame member are arranged in an "I" configuration. The first frame member has a trimmer guide and a clip pivotally mounted and biased in a closed condition for releasably retaining an end of a strip of wallpaper. The second frame member has frame extensions and a guide rod rotatably mounted at a remote end thereof. Two parallel foam cushioned rollers are rotatably mounted on the handle for rolling along a wall. The first frame member rotatably engages a first roller and the second frame member rotatably engages a second roller. The trimmer guide has a straight edge extending substantially parallel to the cushioned rollers. The wallpaper applicator pivots about one of the cushioned rollers for applying the trimmer guide to a corner between a ceiling and wall. Wallpaper is threadable over the guide rod, about the cushioned rollers, about the trimmer guide and releasably retained by the retainer means for applying wallpaper to the corner. Upon releasing the wallpaper, the applicator is rolled along applying the wallpaper to the wall.

The housing of the border guide is leaned against the wall at the desired height by resting the extension pole against the floor. After ascending a ladder, border is payed out from the housing by holding the part of the border extending through the slot in one hand, and then placing the pole about arms-length away with the other hand. With the housing suspending the border paper, both hands are free to apply the borders.
