    摘要： A fastener for jewelry and the like comprises a box-shaped structure made of foil and has, at both ends, two transverse seats which receive fastening elements of a chain or the like to which the fastener is attached. One end is formed by a half-open hook which is closed by a resiliently mounted tongue forming part of the box-shaped structure. The tongue is shaped to increase its stiffness so that the fastener will not become unfastened accidentally despite the fact that the foil is of soft metal such as gold.

    摘要： A belt holster purse includes an elongate belt element the ends of which are adapted to be releasably connected. At least one peripherally extending slot is formed in selected segments of the side wall of the belt element. At least one purse member is slideably mounted in selected ones of the belt slots. The purse member includes top, bottom, front and rear walls. The rear wall carries a stud member dimensioned to project through the slot and slide therein. A first fastening element is carried by the outer free end of the stud member. The top wall of the purse member has a free end which extends downwardly in overlying relation to at least the upper portion of the rear wall. A second fastening element cooperable with the fastening element on the stud member is carried by the depending section of the top wall and is thus adapted to simultaneously close the purse member and releasably lock the purse member on the belt element.

    摘要： The device is used in conjunction with conveyances powered by internal combustion engines having electrical ignition systems. The device includes an on-off switch which is connected in series with the ignition system and which includes a plunger which moves from a retracted position in which the electrical system is activated to an extended position in which the engine is shut down. A cord is connected at one end to the plunger and at the other end, to attachment means which is adapted to be releasably connected to the driver of the conveyance. Incorporated in the cord is a severable member which, upon application by the cord of a tensile force greater than the force required to move the plunger from a retracted position to an extended position under normal weather conditions, separates so that the cord no longer interconnects the plunger and the attachment means. The cord is of sufficient length to accommodate movement of the driver while on the conveyance only so that upon removal of the driver from the conveyance, the cord becomes taut with resulting movement of the plunger from a retracted to an extended position thereby shutting off the engine.
