There is at least one magnet fixedly attached to the neck, so the at least one magnet holds the closure in a closed position that spans the gap such that the hook encloses a defined space in the closed position.

摘要： A plunger pin schackle locking apparatus that prevents accidental release of the snap shackle under heavy flogging during windy conditions or snagging. Two “at-rest” states or positions are provided. This first one prevents significant translation of the plunger pin such that apparatus remains closed and locked. The second one allows free translation of the plunger pin over a range sufficient to release the latch. The locking mechanism does not significantly change the overall configuration, size and relative dimensions of a similarly rated but non-locking equivalent plunger pin snap shackle to allow for interchangeability.

摘要： Various embodiments for carabiners having two gates are disclosed. The carabiners of the present invention include a C-shaped body having a nose region and an end region. An inner gate is configured to pivot about the end region from a closed position in contact with the nose region, and an open position, wherein the inner gate pivots toward the spine of the C-shaped body. An outer gate is configured to pivot about the end region from a closed position in contact with the nose region, and an open position, extending away from the C-shaped body. The inner and the outer gate may each comprise wire gates, alternatively one gate may comprise a generally cylindrical gate and the other gate may comprise a wire gate. Methods of preventing a carabiner from opening are also disclosed.

摘要： A cable lock coupling is part of a surfboard locking system. The coupling includes a housing, a pin, a ring and jaws. The pin is slidably fitted in the housing and is movable between a first position and a second position. The ring is coupled to a first end of the pin, is sized/shaped to slidably fit only in a first portion of the housing, and is able to receive a cable lock's cable therethrough when it substantially protrudes from the housing when the pin is in the first position. The jaws, coupled to a second end of the pin, are free to open when the pin is in the second position, and are forced to close when the pin is in the first position. The cable portion of a cable lock is passed through the ring protruding from the housing when the pin is in the first position.
