    摘要: The present application discloses a quick-action coupling (100) for a rotary surgical tool having a rotary shaft (20), in the distal end surface of which there is formed a tool receptacle (24) which is adapted to receive a rotary surgical tool for conjoint rotation. The rotary shaft (20) has, in the region of its distal end (21), at least one radial protrusion (22) and at least one radial aperture, wherein a locking body is arranged in the at least one aperture, said locking body being movable in the radial direction with respect to the rotary shaft (20). A sleeve (10), the proximal end of which is pushable over the distal end (21) of the rotary shaft (20), is additionally provided in the quick-action coupling. The inner surface of the sleeve (10) contains a region in which the inside diameter of the distal section (102) is enlarged compared with the inside diameter of the proximal section (101), and the sleeve (10) has at least one slot (11, 11′, 12, 12′, 13, 13′, 13″, 14, 15, 16, 17) which has a first slot section (11, 11′) and at least one further slot section (12, 12′, 13, 13′, 13″, 14, 15, 16, 17), wherein the first slot section (11, 11′) extends from the proximal end of the sleeve (10) and the further slot section (12, 12′, 13, 13′, 13″, 14, 15, 16, 17) is connected to the first slot section (11, 11′). An elastic element (30) urges the sleeve (10) in the distal direction relative to the rotary shaft (20).

    摘要: Devices are described relating to the retaining of surgical tools within the chuck of a reciprocating surgical instrument, such as a reciprocating saw. A securing chuck is disclosed for securing a surgical tool to a reciprocating surgical instrument that comprises a shaft and a securing member. The shaft defines an axis and has a cylindrical bore extending along the axis. The bore is shaped to receive a substantially rounded tool shank. A pair of transverse slots extends into the shaft along a plane passing through the axis for receiving a substantially flattened tool shank. The transverse slots intersect with the cylindrical bore. The securing member is carried by the shaft and is radially movable relative to the bore both inwardly and outwardly to secure the surgical tool in the chuck.

    摘要: A cutting tool has a cutting insert and a holder. The cutting insert has a cutting portion and an insert shank with a cylindrical portion and a non-cylindrical portion. The holder has a clamping portion which has a clamping sleeve and a cage located therein. The cage includes a load member housing with a load member. The cage has a major abutment wall adjacent to a minor abutment wall. The clamping sleeve has first and second inner sections defined by points P1 and P2. A point P3 divides the second inner section into first and second portions. The clamping sleeve is rotatable between a secured and a released position of the cutting tool. In the secured position, the non-cylindrical portion abuts the major abutment wall, the cylindrical portion abuts both the minor abutment wall and the load member, and the load member abuts the first portion.

It is intended that a stop (78) interacts with a part (80) of the torsion spring (60), in order to prevent movement of the locking sleeve (30) beyond the removal position.
