Abstract: An occlusion device for occluding a left atrial appendage extending from a lateral wall of a left atrium of a heart may include a first clamping portion and a second clamping portion movably connected to one another and configured for positioning along opposite sides of the left atrial appendage. The first clamping portion and the second clamping portion each may include an inner side configured to face toward the left atrial appendage when the device is in a deployed configuration, an outer side disposed opposite the inner side and configured to face away from the left atrial appendage, a concave side configured to face away from the lateral wall when the device is in the deployed configuration, and a convex side disposed opposite the concave side and configured to face toward the lateral wall.

Abstract: Provided is an osteotome handpiece that may be driven by compressed gas. In an embodiment, a spherical piston may be movable inside a cylinder having a liner, which may be made of a low-friction material such as a fluoropolymer. The spherical piston may impact a blade holder that transmits force to a blade. A piston return spring may be provided, along with a piston washer to avoid any possible outward deformation of the spring. The blade holder may be retained by a split and threaded retaining collar. Single-stroke or multi-stroke operation may be chosen by the user. The device has long-operating low-maintenance advantages.

Abstract: Described within are systems, methods and apparatus for a bone mounted robotic-assisted orthopedic surgery system for precise implant position, soft tissue balancing and guidance of tools during a surgical procedure, particularly partial or total knee replacement procedure. The system features a bone mounted robotic arm with end-effector for precise positioning of surgical tool, position in of implants and balancing of soft tissues. The reconfigurable robotic system requires minimal training by surgeons, is intuitive to use similar to conventional instrumented surgery and has a small footprint. The system works with existing, conventional instruments, patient specific instruments, sensor-assisted systems and computer-assisted systems and does not require increased surgical time and safely provides the enhanced precision achievable by robotic-assisted systems and computer-assisted technologies.
