摘要： A tool magazine includes at least one tool carriage movable along a circulation path. The tool holders each have tool pot sockets to which the tool pots are mountable. The tool holders are disposed pivotably about a pivot axis with respect to the at least one tool carriage. The tool pot sockets include a first and second tool pot sockets. An angle is created in a pivoting direction about the pivot axis between a first tool pot mounted to the first tool pot socket and a second tool pot mounted to the second tool pot socket. The turning device turns each of the tool holders about the pivot axis at a position on the circulation path. The tool pot stopper positions each of the tool pots and stops one of the first tool pot and the second tool pot at a pivotable location in the pivoting direction.

A roller supported by each tool pot rolls on the rail in response to the rotation of the holding ring.

摘要： A tool pot according to the present invention includes a synthetic resin portion made from thermo-plastic resin and arranged over an entire length from an opening end to a tool gripping portion. Inner surface of the synthetic resin portion is a tool attachment hole. The synthetic resin portion is provided in the vicinity of the opening end of the attachment hole with a supporting surface for supporting a tool. The synthetic resin portion includes an outer structure defining outer shape, an inner structure defining inner circumference of the tool attachment hole, a cavity provided between the outer structure and the inner structure, and joint ribs joining the outer structure and the inner structure. Each of the outer structure, the inner structure and the joint ribs has wall-thickness enough to secure rigidity of the synthetic resin portion and capable of suppressing mold shrinkage of the synthetic resin portion. The tool pot according to the present invention has rigidity without damaging tools by the synthetic resin portion, and has high dimensional accuracy and design freedom.

Swingable between a rest position and an operative position, the tool pot includes a body having an axial tapering bore, an axial end bore for reception of the tail end portion of the cutting tool and a plurality of radial holes each open into the axial end bore at their inner ends. A gripper is provided in the radial holes of the body for releasably gripping the tail end portion of the cutting tool during the time the cutting tool remains held in the tool pot. Built in the body is a tool lock that cooperates with the gripper to lock the cutting tool against removal during the time the tool pot is at the rest position and is caused to swing.
