    摘要: A tool, having a handle attached to a gripping structure, for ergonomically pulling weeds, including the bulk of their root systems, or other protruding shafts from the ground. The gripping structure has at least one tong that rotates from pressure against the surface of the ground. The rotation of the tong or tongs causes a gripping surface at the end of a tong to compress towards a mated gripping surface, forming a jaw. When operating the tool, the two gripping surfaces sandwich the weed-stalk to be extracted. This gripping structure works automatically with pressure against the surface, so unnecessary steps are eliminated in engaging or disengaging the tool. The handle is a lever arm pivoting the entire gripping structure, this forces whatever is held in the jaw away from the surface.

    摘要: A garden and lawn weed extractor tool enables removal of the weed with minimal invasiveness to the soil or turf. The weed extractor tool utilizes a foot-operated depression feature to insert the tool blade into the soil, at an angle to horizontal near the weed root. The user then uses the tool as a lever to pivot the blade relative to the weed root, which loosens the soil around the root and, hence, loosens the weed from the ground so that the weed is removable without carrying with it a large clump of soil. A spring-assisted soil retainer device and self-cleaning mechanism wipes or scrapes the tool blade as the tool is removed from the ground, and, in doing so, retains most of the soil in place at or near its original location. The tool, therefore, tends to prevent disruption to the garden and turf area, leaves each weed-removal site neat and miminally-disturbed, and keeps the tool blade clean for smooth and quick insertion at the next weed-site.

The base portion includes a clip for removably receiving a handle stem on the auxiliary head to selectively lock the scoop at a position adjacent the tool head to trap debris therebetween.

    摘要: A garden tool with a non-slip handle grip, designed for immediate and not difficult removal of deep-rooted plants such as Thistle and Dock weeds. The body of the tool is of rigid and strong construction, with angled cutting faces and includes a plant/soil containment chamber. The tools angular cutting faces and profile, are designed to produce efficient insertion and soil compression when downward thrust is applied, which therefore holds captive the plant root in the containment chamber, hence achieving successful plant removal from the ground when the tool is withdrawn. The slotted front of the containment chamber allows for unwanted plant and soil removal from the tool. Optional hand and foot cross-members added, to produce more forceful insertion into and easier withdrawal from the ground, and to create a convenient standing operating stance, when using the tool.

    摘要: A weeding tool with a combination of attachments integrated with a fulcrum to remove specific types of weeds based on their root structure. The attachments remove weeds whose roots are characterized as lengthy single-type roots, medium-depth bushy-hair type roots and near-surface vine-type roots. A fulcrum slidably attached to the tool handle ergonomically assists the gardener in extracting weeds by limiting angular rotation of the handle. The fulcrum may be used to apply foot pressure in penetrating hard soil. The fulcrum slides on the tool handle with respect to the end of the lifting blade to vary its penetration depth and is used for extracting single-type weed roots at different depths. The multiple-tine rake rotatably attached to the fulcrum is snapped into position and spring-biased to remain in position for extracting weeds having medium-depth bushy roots. The cultivator bar rotatably attached to the fulcrum is snapped into position for near-surface weed removal or general soil tilling. A crevice blade, rotatably attached to the fulcrum removes weeds between the gaps of patio paving blocks and the like, is snapped into position for this task. Most of these attachments can be combined onto one tool or other combinations integrated with the slidably attached fulcrum.
