摘要: Differential length parallel lift arms have means at one end for attachment to a belly mounted tractor appliance. At their opposite ends the lift arms are adapted to be pivotally mounted on a common axis on a tractor under which the appliance is adapted to be located. Lift arm actuating means are connected to the lift arms for effecting substantially parallel lifting of the appliance by the arms. Means for effecting operation of the actuating means may be operated hydraulically or otherwise from the tractor seat.

摘要: Vehicles having the versatility to be used as farm vehicles while also being able to be used as a transportation method, such as a motorcycle, are provided. The vehicles can generally include a three-wheel configuration in which first and second drive wheels are substantially vertically aligned, and the third wheel is offset from the vertically aligned drive wheels. The third wheel can be aligned with the second wheel, or it can be disposed at a location that is between the first and second wheels while still being offset from the vertical alignment. A tool for performing farming actions is also provided. In some instances the tool can be laterally offset from the vertically aligned wheels, located between the drive wheels, while in other instances the tool can be disposed distal of the rear wheel. Many vehicle and tool configurations are disclosed, as are methods for operating the same.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling weeds, which includes a tine formation adapted to remove or disrupt targeted weeds, and a tine support assembly adapted to support the tine for movement about a first control axis in a generally vertical direction between an engaged position wherein the tine formation in use contacts a ground surface for removal or disruption of targeted weeds and a disengaged position wherein the tine formation is substantially retracted from the ground surface. The tine support assembly is further adapted to support the tine for movement about a second control axis in a generally horizontal direction. The tine support assembly further includes a first actuation mechanism adapted to effect movement of the tine about the first control axis, and a second actuation mechanism adapted to effect movement of the tine about the second control axis. The apparatus also includes a sensing system for sensing aspects of an environment and generating data indicative thereof, and a classification system for identifying target weeds within the environment on the basis of the data from the sensing system. A control system is adapted to activate the first and second actuation mechanisms of the tine support assembly in accordance with a predetermined control logic thereby sequentially to position the tine for disruptive contact with the targeted weeds.

摘要: A cultivator for attachment to a crop harvester including at least one tool frame member with soil tilling tools adjustably mounted relative thereto. A shaft is provided rotatably mounted relative to a support frame of the crop harvester. An actuating member is operatively connected to the shaft and the support frame for selectively imparting rotation to the shaft. A link is operatively, pivotally connected between the tool frame member and the support frame for guiding the frame member and the soil tilling tools between a raised position out of engagement with a ground surface and a lowered position into engagement with the ground surface. A connecting member is operatively connected to the shaft and the frame member for translating rotational motion of the shaft into rotatable, vertical motion of the tool frame member and the soil tilling tools about the link pivotally mounted to the support frame to selectively raise and lower the frame member and the soil tilling tools.

摘要: An easily attachable and detachable tool-mounting apparatus for mounting a plurality of earth-working tools to a tractor provided with a hydraulically-actuated lift apparatus. The tool-connecting apparatus, which comprises outwardly extending booms to which are connected tool-mounting bars parallel thereto, is carried by the lift apparatus. To the forward portion of the lift apparatus is connected another tool-mounting bar. The tool-connecting apparatus is borne by the tractor solely through the hydraulically-actuated lift apparatus, whereby the toolconnecting apparatus may be easily raised and lowered, and thus may be easily attached and detached from the tractor. Means for swinging the outwardly extending booms out of the way of the tractor wheels are also provided.

摘要: A vehicle mounted lift assembly having latch mechanisms for latching pivoted lift arms in an uplift position whereby an implement, particularly a powered rotary mower, connected to the lift arms can be automatically latched in an elevated position while other implements are being raised or lowered by the lift assembly. The latch mechanisms each include a pivotal and an axially translatable bolt having a non-circular end portion which is slidably received in a complementary non-circular opening when in an arm latching position. The bolt is manually movable to an unlatched position with the non-circular portion moved axially out of engagement with the non-circular opening, and with the bolt then being pivoted about its axis to preclude registration of the non-circular portion with the non-circular opening. A combination torsion-compression spring is prestressed to normally exert a compressive force tending to hold the bolt in latching position, and to normally exert a torsional force tending to pivot and maintain the bolt in its unlatched position. A cam face on the latch bolt automatically locks the associated lift arm in raised position in response to movement of the lift arm into its raised position only if the bolt has been pivoted to its latching position.
