摘要: When using a cross auger assembly on a crop harvesting header with a flexible frame having end frame sections pivotal relative to a centre frame section, mounting devices are coupled between the bearing housings at opposing ends of the cross auger assembly and the outer ends of the end frame sections. Each mounting device includes a first mounting structure fixed relative to the outer end of the end frame section, a second mounting structure fixed to a portion of the respective bearing housing, and a flexible mounting arrangement between the mounting structures to accommodate variation in lateral positioning of the bearing housings relative to the ends of the flexible frame as the flexible frame flexes over varying ground contours without requiring a telescoping shaft arrangement on the cross auger assembly.

摘要: The present invention relates to a leaf stripper for removing leaves from a plant. The leaf stripper includes a housing having an interior. The stripper has a grille supported by the housing and in communication with the interior. The grille is shaped to selectively enable the leaves to at least partially pass therethrough. The stripper has a stripping motor disposed within the interior of the housing and supported by the housing. The stripper has a rotatable string member operatively connected to the stripping motor. The string member is configured to create a partial vacuum within the interior of the housing for at least partially sucking the leaves through the grille when rotated and to at least partially shred the leaves at least partially passing through the grille.

摘要: An impeller assembly having a housing supporting a rotatable impeller. The housing has a bottom entrance opening and a top exit opening separated by a curved back wall. A liner of low friction and abrasion resistant plastic material located adjacent a portion of the inside of the back wall prevents material buildup on the back wall. The liner is removeably mounted on the housing so that it can be replaced without taking the housing apart. The impeller has a plurality of pivoted paddle assemblies. Each paddle assembly has a body carrying a generally U-shaped liner of low friction and abrasion resistant material to minimize the collection of material on the paddle assemblies. The housing includes a knife adjacent the entrance opening. The body of the impeller assembly has a transverse lip that moves in close relation relative to the knife to cut material.

摘要: An apparatus for removing foliage from row crops including a frame adapted to be connected to a prime mover for movement in a forward direction. A plurality of rotors are rotatably attached to the frame and are disposed transversely to the forward direction of movement thereof. A mechanism is provided for selectively rotating the rotor. A first brush is attached to each rotor at a first place on the rotor, a second brush is attached to each rotor at a second place on the rotor, the second brush being spaced from the first brush. An adjusting structure is provided for selectively adjusting the relative positions of the first and second brushes on each rotor with respect to each other for adjusting for the width of rows of crops.

摘要: A foliage-removing machine having power-driven rotors and powerdriven crop-scalping units with cutting discs. Rigid flails mounted on the forward rotor and flexible flails mounted on the rear rotor are separated with a transverse wall carrying a downwardly directed flexible shield. Vertically adjustable connectors mount the scalping units and ground-supporting wheels at the rear of the machine. The ground wheels drive the cutting discs.
