摘要： A mower blade with a trailing sweeping edge that projects below the cutting edge serves to brush, cut particles deposited on the grass surface down between the grass blades and up into the air stream within the mower deck. As the cut particles are recirculated in the air stream, they are recut in a mulching action. The particles forced down between the grass blades reduce the amount of cut grass that has to be discharged. As a result, the amount of cut grass particles left on the lawn is reduced, thereby providing an improved appearance.

It also provides a positive retention method on the top side of the disc. In addition, it provides a method of removing the knife from the disc without the use of wrenches, simply requiring a tool for prying, such as a screw driver. A further feature is a low profile retainer does not need to be protected by a wear protector.

摘要： An inexpensive and readily available pruning blade for pruning crop growth, such as grape vines following harvest, has a disc-like base plate. The base plate has ordinary small diameter radial Skil-saw blades mounted around the periphery. The saw blades are fixed rotationally on the base plate by a clamp and have a portion of the saw teeth extending beyond the base plate periphery so that rotation of the base plate induces cutting action by the saw teeth at the periphery of the base plate. When the extending saw teeth become dull, the clamp is loosened, the saw blade is rotated through an arc sufficient to expose sharp teeth at the base plate periphery, and the clamp is tightened.

摘要： A self-cleaning attachment for a rotary mower has a carrier member (26) supporting a flexible, linear element (25) radially spaced from the rotational axis of the blade at a level above the blade so the element rotates near the underside of the mower housing defining a narrow upper chamber where air pulses are concentrated to maintain the underside of the housing relatively clean of build-up. The carrier may have a plurality of elements in equally spaced relationship, the structure of which is such that the outer tips are supported above the blade when idle, and the inertial mass is low compared to the rotating mass of the blade such that there is relatively little rotational effect as the elements become worn. The attachment is retro-fittable to existing mowers without causing appreciable power loss or degrading the blade stopping capability below ANSI standards for residential lawn mowers.
