    摘要： A bug-catching curtain system includes a plurality of curtains composed of adhesive material suspended from rigid framing material. A drive shaft is supported by the support structure. A plurality of primary cables extending out from a plurality of spindles that are mounted on the drive shaft. A plurality of support cables are attached to the primary cable and to the rigid framing material. The plurality of support cables suspend the plurality of curtains between rows of plants. A height at which the plurality of curtains are suspended is varied by using the turning the drive shaft to let out and to wind in the plurality of primary cables.

    摘要： An insect trap including a base having an upper end defining a cavity for receiving a removable bait cup. A main housing defining a plurality of openings is matable to the base in an upright position. The main housing defines a mounting structure for supporting a hanger for supporting an uncoiled roll of flypaper within the main housing. A spacer centers an uncoiled roll of flypaper within the main housing. An upper cap free from openings allowing passage of any incident water through the upper cap is matable with the upper end of the main housing. The insect trap is capable of free-standing outdoor use, outside of any enclosure or overhanging structure, while resisting penetration of rain/precipitation into the main housing. The base, main housing, hanger and upper cap are matable to define a weather-resistant enclosure for suspending flypaper within the main housing above the internal cavity of the base.

    摘要： A fly trap that is effective, attractive, quiet, safe, and pleasant. When placed or hung above eye level, the fly trap appears to be an ordinary ornamental artificial plant. Artificial plant stems are embedded in a container containing a filler material dense enough to hold the stems in place. The artificial plant stems are placed only near the inside of the upper rim of the container, leaving the center area clear. Into the center area is placed a piece of flypaper with an adhesive surface for immobilizing flies. Either the flypaper, the filler material, or both contain a bait or attractant to lure flies to the flypaper, where the flies become stuck to the adhesive surface and are unable to escape. When the adhesive surface becomes full of trapped flies, the used flypaper can be discarded easily and quickly, and replaced with a fresh piece of flypaper.

    摘要： An apparatus and method of attracting and trapping insects which includes an elongate strip of trapping material having a sticky substance thereon. In one embodiment, the trapping material provides a tubular trapping area. The trapping material is unwound from a feed roll across feed rollers to a take-up roller. The trapping area is provided between the feed rollers. The supply and feed rollers and take-up rollers may be contained in a cartridge which is disposable. The cartridge can be inserted in a housing having auxiliary components such as electrical components and lighting. The drive motor may be provided for automatically and intermittently advancing the take-up roller such that new sections of trapping material are automatically advanced into the trapping section, thereby maintaining fresh attractant substance exposed to insects.

    摘要： A flypaper trap has a clear plastic outer canister formed with a plurality of staggered insect inlet holes. The ends of the canister are closed by two plastic end caps. A hanger is attached to the top end cap for supporting the trap from a structure. In one embodiment, a roll of flypaper material has a plurality of prismatic metal flakes secured to the viscous tackifier material of the flypaper and the roll is uncoiled and extends throughout the canister interior. In a second embodiment, a cardboard tube is wrapped with layers of flypaper having the same prismatic metal flakes thereon. The flypaper layers are separated by a release paper to prevent the viscous tackifier material or coating of adjacent layers from sticking together. The tube is inserted into bosses formed on the inside of the end caps for positioning it within the canister. Upon the exposed flypaper becoming loaded with dead insects, another section of the prismatic flake coated tackifier material is unwrapped from the tube to provide a clean refill for the trap. The prismatic metal flakes reflect various colors which attract insects into the canister where they become stuck on the tackifier material. Any dead insects which fall from the flypaper drop into the bottom end cap for subsequent disposal.
