摘要: Described herein is a composition for use in a device for generating an inhalable medium, the composition comprising (i) 50-85% by weight of air-cured and/or fire-cured tobacco (ii) 0-50% by weight of flue-cured and/or sun-cured tobacco that has not been subjected to any further treatment which affects the flavor properties of tobacco, and (iii) 0-50% by weight of flue-cured and/or sun-cured tobacco that has been further treated to enhance the flavor properties of tobacco.

The present disclosure aims to transform the existing control mode and accurately predict the drainage opening by using a fitting model between the volatile moisture content and the drainage opening, so as to realize transformation from artificial control to intelligent control.

摘要: A product for holding a tobacco material or a tobacco substitute material includes a body defining a storage environment and an electronic device. The electronic device includes an input means to generate an input signal from an external stimulus; an output means to generate an output signal in response to the input signal; wherein at least the output means is arranged on a substrate; and wherein a protective layer is arranged to at least cover the substrate and the output means so as to prevent egression of compounds therefrom to the tobacco material or tobacco substitute material within the storage environment. The electronic device includes an appropriately adapted protective layer A user may therefore assess the freshness and quality of a tobacco material within the product, without any risk or altering the properties of the tobacco material via egression from the electronic device to the storage environment.

摘要: The present invention is in the field of tobacco conditioning, which is performed generally after curing and before baling. It has been identified that cured tobacco is very brittle and difficult to handle without damaging the tobacco leaf. In order to address this issue an apparatus for post-curing conditioning of tobacco is provided. The apparatus includes a tobacco chamber for storing cured tobacco leaves for conditioning; and an air processing facility which includes: a ventilation system for creating an airflow through the apparatus, wherein said airflow is drawn into the air processing facility, passes from the air processing facility into the tobacco chamber, and subsequently exits the apparatus; a heater for adding heat to the airflow; and a humidity generator for adding moisture to the airflow.

The process comprises securing the tobacco material within a moisture-retaining material and exposing the tobacco material to an ambient processing temperature of at least about 45° C., with the tobacco having a packing density of at least 200 kg/m3 on a dry matter weight base at the start of the process and a moisture content of between about 10% and 15.5%. The treated tobacco material has an aerobic plate count of up to about 1000 CFU/g.

摘要: A system for a tobacco curing barn is capable of collecting tobacco-derived moisture from tobacco while that tobacco is cured. The system incorporates a tobacco curing barn or other type of curing enclosure, such as bulk curing barn used for the flue-curing of tobacco. The curing barn is equipped with at least one reclamation element configured to condense and collect moisture released from tobacco cured within the barn. The reclamation element is disposed in proximity with the enclosure in a manner and location providing passage of moist air released from the tobacco across a surface of the reclamation element. The system also includes at least one storage container disposed in fluid communication with the reclamation element surface and configured to store moisture and moisture-borne material collected by the reclamation element. The resulting tobacco-derived components can be blended with other tobacco materials, such as is common practice during tobacco reordering.

摘要: A tobacco treating apparatus including an outer, rotatable, hollow drum having a tobacco inlet at one end and a tobacco outlet at the opposite end with an inner, hollow drum extending through the tobacco inlet end, generally coaxial with the outer drum and extending a distance longitudinally into the outer drum a distance less than the entire length of the outer drum. The outer and inner drums cooperate to define an annular gas flow-through passageway which is open to an exhaust chamber. Tobacco to be treated is introduced into the inner drum and flows therefrom into the outer drum while a stream of tobacco treating gas is introduced into the tobacco outlet end to flow in counter-current direction to the flow of tobacco through the outer drum so that virtually all of the tobacco is contacted and treated by the gas. The treating gas leaves the outer drum through the annular flow-through passageway and into the exhaust air chamber from which it is exhausted from the apparatus. Baffles are located in the annular flow-through passageway to define a sinuous path to be followed by the gas in traversing the annular passageway in order to separate entrained particulate material from the treating gas before the treating gas enters the exhaust chamber.
