Abstract:
Exposing glittering of a hunter's eyes is prevented by headwear including a wearing portion for being worn on a head of a wearer and a visor projecting from the wearing portion, wherein the visor includes a base member for forming a shape of the visor and the base member has a seeing-through portion. A mesh member, which can be seen through by the hunter when the headwear is worn on the head, is attached to the base member and covers the seeing-through portion. Accordingly, in addition to conventional functions of a cap or hat, the hunter can keep watching animals without exposing glittering of his eyes.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a ventable ski hat for enabling a skier to selectively vent body heat, the ventable ski hat essentially comprising a superficial insulative fabric layer, a deep moisture-wicking fabric layer, zipper structure, a mesh fabric layer, and an insulative head band member. Together the superficial fabric layer and the deep fabric layer define a superior vent portion and an inferior crown-receiving portion. The superior vent portion comprises an anterior-superior portion, a posterior-superior portion and a selectively-ventable vent aperture. The zipper structure is located at the vent aperture for selectively venting the vent aperture. The zipper structure is medially aligned along a wearer's head in superior adjacency to the wearer's superior head surface, thus defining an insulative air layer. The zipper structure thus enables the wearer to selectively vent body heat from the insulative air layer.
Abstract:
A sports cap having a crown and a fastening mechanism having two coupling devices coupled to the crown and a belt detachably coupled to the coupling devices. The belt can be resiliently elastic, or may not be significantly elastic. The belt can also have indicia thereon. Because the belt is detachable, it can be replaced by a second belt.
Abstract:
A headwear piece having a crown with a peripheral wall which extends around the head of a wearer. The crown has a front, a rear, and a top, and a bottom. The peripheral wall has a front wall portion that projects upwardly to define a forwardly facing surface and is contiguous with a top wall portion that defines an upwardly facing surface having a substantial area to protect a wearer's head. The crown further has first and second spaced legs which project rearwardly and cooperatively and compressibly capture a wearer's head to maintain the headwear piece in an operative position on a wearer's head.
Abstract:
A cap and shade combination in which the shade may be folded inside an attached pouch when not in use. The shade comprises a central portion and two wing portions such that it may be unfurled both down away from the cap and laterally in both directions around the rim of the cap. The extending portion of the shade is of split configuration and of light weight material to be better received within the pouch of the cap.
Abstract:
A protective mask includes a mask body having a front part formed with a front window, and left and right side parts, each of which is formed with a side window. A front viewing member is mounted on the front window. Two side viewing members are mounted respectively in the side windows of the left and right side parts and permit vision through the side windows. Two side covers are pivoted to the mask body for covering the side windows.
Abstract:
A modular mask system comprises a frame for fitting over a user's head, and a set of interchangeable mask components. Each interchangeable mask components can be removeably attachable to the frame. Each of the interchangeable mask components is one of a top panel, a side panel assembly, an eyepiece and a nosepiece. The interchangeable side panel assemblies can be different sizes to accommodate the user's face or have different patterns or have different configurations of ventilation holes. The interchangeable eyepieces allow the user to choose from dual lenses and a single shield. The eyepieces can include optically powered lenses, shaded lenses, dual lenses tinted lenses, photochromatic lenses and polarized lenses.
Abstract:
A visor assembly includes a visor portion for blocking sunlight, a front portion coupled to the visor portion, a first elastic band coupled to both sides of the front portion to encircle a head, and second elastic bands coupled to a portion of the first elastic band. The second elastic bands have elasticity different from that of the first elastic band. As the elasticity of the first elastic band is different from that of the second elastic bands, the bands exerts resultant elasticity that allows the band to stretch for various head sizes and the contracting force at the overlapping portions of the first and second elastic bands is enhanced, thereby improving the wearing comfort. Furthermore, the first elastic band may be enclosed by a cover in order to satisfy a variety of consumer desires.
Abstract:
A headgear and method for exhibiting displays, such as company logos, on a buckle used for securing a head strap of the headgear at an adjusted position. The buckle can include, on its outer surface, an embossed pattern and a display layer within the embossed pattern. The display layer can be provided with at least one color different from that of the buckle for ease of viewing. A sealant layer can be deposited over the display layer and the outer surface of the buckle, so as to minimize exposure of the display layer to environmental conditions. A method for exhibiting a display on an outer surface of the buckle is also provided.
Abstract:
A method of making a welding helmet molded from plastic having animal facial features or animal skull facial features in which a welding helmet lens is attached where the eye feature would be.
