摘要: A ventilated helmet is provided. The helmet includes a shell defining a cavity, the shell having a front section provided with an opening to allow the wearer to see. The helmet also includes a transparent shield adapted having an inner surface and being adapted to substantially close the opening. Finally, the helmet includes a ventilation system having an evacuation subsystem adapted to create an evacuation airflow to evacuate humid air within the cavity to a surrounding environment. The ventilation system further has a pressurizing subsystem adapted to admit a pressurizing airflow within the cavity to create a high-pressure zone and a low-pressure zone within the cavity, wherein when in use, the wearer exhales air within the low-pressure zone, and wherein the high-pressure zone prevents air within the cavity from travelling from the low-pressure zone to the high-pressure zone. A method of evacuating humid air from the cavity is also provided.

摘要: Visor assembly (1, 21) consisting of an inner shield (6, 26) and an outer shield (2, 22). In the use position these shields are some distance apart. With this arrangement the inner shield (6, 26) is located within the peripheral confines of the outer shield (2, 22). The inner shield (6, 26) is provided with an elevation (7, 27) which extends close to the periphery thereof and which acts as a spacer with respect to the outer shield. This elevation (7, 27) is preferably made of silicone material which is snack to the inner shield (6, 26) but is not stuck to the outer shield (2, 22). Fixing to the outer shield (2, 22) takes place by means (10, 12) of mechanical fixing means.

Thus, it is possible to obtain a structure for mounting an anti-fog sheet to a shield in which a retaining member will not break even when a shield receives a load, and the retaining member is formed from a single component, is therefore inexpensive, and is easy to handle.

摘要: The present invention is a ski helmet that combines a visor and face shield. Adapted to the ski helmet is a suitably thick strip of resilient foam material positioned across the exterior front-facing surface of the helmet protecting the forehead area of the person wearing the helmet. The face shield can be rotated to various positions which will change the contact area of the face shield and foam strip and thus the amount of air flow between the face shield and user's face. When the face shield is in maximum contact with the foam strip, air flow is minimized.
