摘要: A step-in shoe of novel design that includes a heel strap that can be donned by the user without the necessity of manipulating the heel strap with the fingers to correctly position the heel strap about the user's heel. The step-in shoe is constructed from a novel, lofted foam material that permits the heel strap to flex downwardly as the foot starts to enter the body of the shoe, but automatically positions itself about the heel of the user as the user's foot fully enters the internal chamber of the body of the shoe.

摘要: A shoe includes a shoe upper and a sole coupled to the shoe upper and that includes a lower surface comprising a first material. A heel insert is embedded in a heel portion of the sole and includes a second material having a coefficient of friction less than a coefficient of friction of the first material, such as less than half. The heel insert may include projections made of a low-friction material such as nylon or UHMW whereas the sole is made from rubber. The projections may be embedded in a frame that seats within an inverted U-shaped channel defined by the sole.

摘要: A very long wearing material to replace regions that erode rapidly in the heels of outdoor shoes. The material is made by embedding relatively large, round, wear-resistant particles in a very hard urethane binder. Applications include both applying the material directly to the heel as a paste with curing in situ and casting in molds for attachment to the heel with an adhesive.

摘要: The reinforced shoe heel includes an angled platform having a surface area for supporting a heel section of a shoe, a core including a plate and at least one reinforcement rod extending therefrom, the plate having a size and shape for select imbedded seated reception on a top surface of the angled platform, and a support coupled with and extending below the angled platform, the support being positioned in relation relative to the core to selectively receive the at least one reinforcement rod projecting from the plate. The reinforcement rod cooperates with the top-mounted plate to increase the relative structural rigidity of the reinforced shoe heel to generally relatively resist torsion, compressive, and shear stresses during use when attached to the shoe.
