    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a double selection fabric including a back layer, a front layer, and least a first and a second blister zone having different physical properties is provided, the method including: inserting in the first blister zone a first inlay yarn between the back layer and the front layer of the double selection fabric, and knitting a second inlay yarn to the back layer, wherein the second inlay yarn is different from the first inlay yarn; inserting in the second blister zone the second inlay yarn between the back layer and the front layer of the double selection fabric, and knitting the first inlay yarn to the back layer; and knitting the first and second inlay yarns to the back layer of the double selection fabric outside of the at least first and second blister zones. Double selection fabrics prepared by the methods are also provided.

    Abstract: An upper for an article of footwear may have a knitted component, where the knitted component has a first edge extending from a first side of a throat area of the upper, through a heel area of the upper, and to a second side of the throat area. At least a portion of the first edge may include a lattice structure, the lattice structuring having a first lattice band and a second lattice band, the first lattice band and the second lattice band having loops that are intermeshed in at least one location, where a plurality of first openings are located between the first lattice band and the second lattice band. At least one of the lattice bands may include a yarn having a tenacity of at least 5 g/d, and/or the first and second lattice bands may be formed from separate yarns.

    Abstract: A knitted component may include a first side and an opposite second side and a first tubular knit structure having a first portion on the first side and a second portion on the second side, where the first portion is at least partially formed with a first yarn and where the second portion is at least partially formed with a different second yarn, and where the first yarn includes a thermoplastic polymer material with a melting point of about 200° C. or less. The knitted component may further include a fused surface region on the first side of the knitted component formed with the thermoplastic polymer material of the first yarn. The knitted component may further include an inlaid strand extending through a passage formed by the first tubular knit structure between the first portion and the second portion.

    Abstract: A textile sheet (1), which is in the form of a three-dimensional multi-layer knit structure having at least three layers, characterized in that the first and third layers each have at least two portions, wherein the first layer (2) absorbs the liquid and transports the liquid to the intermediate layer (3) wherein the first layer has an upper portion which is hydrophobic and a lower portion which is hydrophilic, both portions being smooth knitted and plated; the second layer (3), namely the intermediate layer (3), absorbs and retains the liquid, the intermediate layer having hydrophobic transverse threads (3a), which interconnect the first and third layers, and the intermediate layer having a hydrophilic inlay; and the third layer (4) prevents the liquid from escaping from the material wherein the third layer has an upper portion that is hydrophobic and a lower portion that is waterproof, both portion being smooth knitted and plated.

    Abstract: A textile device for detecting liquids comprising a matrix fabric obtained by knitting, a first non-insulated conductive wire and a second non-insulated conductive wire knitted with the matrix fabric, a source of electric energy connected to the non-insulated conductive wires in order to create a first electric circuit and to have a potential difference between the non-insulated conductive wires, an electrical resistance measuring device configured to measure the electric resistance R in the first electric circuit. The textile device is configured in such a way that, when the non-insulated conductive wires electrically connect by means of a liquid, the electrical resistance measuring system measures a variation of electric resistance R in said first electric circuit. Furthermore, at least one insulated conductive wire is provided connected to a source of electric energy in order to create a second electric circuit.
