    摘要: A shoe or other footwear has a non-removable multi-layer insole. A middle layer of the insole has apertures that define several discrete storage chambers within the insole. Each storage chamber stores a mixture of particulate or granular materials, such as sand, powdered titanium, powdered aluminum, powdered talcum, powdered zinc. The insole or footwear further includes integrated components such as: electromyogram (EMG) sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, humidity sensors, sweat sensors. The insole or footwear further includes integrated stimulating units, such as: Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) units, electrodes, infrared radiation units. Data is sensed by the sensors integrated in the insole or footwear, in response to a human foot stepping on the discrete storage chambers that store the particulate or granular materials, and optionally in response to stimulation operations. Data is processed to detect or estimate a medical condition, and to selectively modify operational properties of the stimulation units.

    摘要: The pressure relieving device is intended to provide users with a stress relieving support surface that is customizable. To that end, the device includes a sleeve with one or more compartments that may be individually filled and refilled with a deformable media. The deformable media further includes a mixture of both non-rigid deformable and rigid non-deformable particles that enable the device to conform to any shape when acted upon by a pressure and recover back when pressure is removed. The device may act as a footwear component for use as a shoe insole insert which may be customized by the user to relieve pain in the areas of foot where most required. Accordingly, the footwear component adapts to the user's foot pattern while standing or moving. Furthermore, the device is durable, washable and reusable, and may be used with open shoes, closed shoes or even without any shoes.

    摘要: Systems and methods for providing footwear that facilitate distribution of a fluid held by the footwear to a foot of a user are described. A footwear structure embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a sole including an upper layer, a bottom layer, and an intermediate layer coupled between the upper layer and the bottom layer, the sole defining a cavity through the upper layer and at least a portion of the intermediate layer; and a fluid distribution structure sized and dimensioned to fit at least partially within the cavity, the fluid distribution structure including a fluid retention portion configured to retain a fluid for release to a foot of a user when the user introduces the foot onto the sole and in contact with at least a portion of the fluid retention portion.
