摘要： The object of this invention is to provide a nail clipper with supplementary functions. In the nail clipper, a folding plate (34) is rotatably mounted to the rear joint of the clipper's body such that it is rotatable between its folded position and its exposed position. A housing (30) is provided at the free end of the folding plate (34), with a flexible extension (39) extending from the housing (30) and designed to be changeable in its length and bent to be curved as desired. A light emitting device (31), used for illuminating a target place while clipping the nails, is set at the tip of the extension (39). The nail clipper also has a melody chip (42) for producing a melody, in addition to having a battery (40). In another embodiment, the light emitting device (31), melody chip (42) and battery (40) are held on a casing (50) covering the rear portion of the clipper's body.

摘要： The inventive nail clippers comprise a two-membered clipper body (2) with a metal fitting (8) placed inside. The metal fitting has a U-shaped spring section (46) that, at the end of each of its legs (48), has bent portions (50) which form the cutting edges (10). The two clipper body members (4,6) also have angled portions (64,66) which encompass the leg ends of the spring section and which meet together opposite to the bent portions (50) that form the cutting edges (10). The angled portions engage with each other in such a way that they fit together, thereby ensuring that the cutting edges are accurately guided when they meet, even when the clipper body is made of plastic and is thus relatively resilient.

摘要： A nail clipper of this invention has a somewhat V-shaped handle portion formed of a first upper handle and a second lower handle each of which is pivotally mounted with respect to the other, and movable toward the other. A nail holder, having an arcuate slot for the receipt of an artificial nail, extends forwardly from the lower handle. A cutter assembly having a forwardly disposed arcuate blade edge, is slidably mounted and interconnected to the upper handle's movement whereby it is actuated forwardly over the nail holder to carry out a cutting motion against a nail disposed in the nail holder's slot, upon the application of force to the two handles and moved rearwardly by a release of the grip of the upper portion. The apparatus also includes an elevation setter which may be used for controlling the size of cut of a nail inserted into the nail holder slot. A sizing tool may be employed with the elevation setter to preset the length of the nail to be worn.
