Abstract:
An example adjustable brush may include a brush head and a handle extending from the brush head. The brush head may include a first plurality of teeth extending along a rotation axis and a second plurality of teeth extending along the rotation axis. The second plurality of teeth may be rotatable independently of the first plurality of teeth about the rotation axis.
Abstract:
A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a brushroll that rotates about an axis. The brushroll defines a cylindrical portion and the axis extends centrally through the cylindrical portion. The brushroll also includes a rib that extends in a direction away from the axis. The rib includes a face extending along a line that is collinear with a secant through the cylindrical portion. A brush member extends from the face.

Abstract:
A wash apparatus for a vehicle wash installation is provided, which includes a shaft drivable in rotation about a rotation axis and wash elements operatively connected thereto. In order to be able to adapt to the contour of a vehicle, the wash apparatus can be divided axially in two or more wash apparatus segments and that the at least one wash apparatus segment includes a wash element holding body having wash elements held thereto, said wash element holding body defining a wash apparatus segment axis which is different from the rotation axis, and a gear device which couples the shaft to the wash element holding body in order to rotate same about the wash apparatus segment axis, wherein the wash element holding body is configured for pivotal movement relative to the shaft via the gear device. Furthermore, a vehicle wash installation including a wash apparatus is provided.
Abstract:
A side brush for a vacuum cleaner includes a brush core and at least ten bristle clusters regularly distributed over a circumferential surface of the brush core.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mounting device for a drum (2) consisting of at least two joined drum segments (21, 22) as a part of a shaft (1) of a brush roller, said mounting device including an internal circumferentially directed shoulder (24) being a part of a first drum segment (21) and an external circumferentially directed shoulder (23) being a part of a second drum segment (22), said two shoulders (23, 24) are provided with cooperating contact surfaces mainly positioned in a circumferential or tangential direction with respect to a complete drum (2), the external shoulder (23) being provided with a radial directed clearance hole intended to involve a screw (30), the threaded end of which being directed into the geometrical rotation axis of a complete drum, whereby the interior circumferentially directed shoulder (24) is provided with a recess (26) having a bottom (25) and an opening (27) facing the geometrical rotation axis and the recess (26) is designed with plain inner side surfaces (42, 43) facing each other and being parallel and axial with respect to the drum, and the recess (26) is equipped with projections (28) tangentially and circumferentially originating from each one of said side surfaces and pointing to each other. Furthermore the invention relates to a drum segment, a drum, and a brush roller with such a mounting device.
Abstract:
A cylindrical brush with an improved core and a mating driving hub have axially inclined splines that engage one another to form an improved cylindrical brush assembly for a floor maintenance machine.
Abstract:
A component for a vehicle wash system includes a frame and a hub portion rotatably secured to the frame. The hub portion includes an axis of rotation and an outer surface. A plurality of media elements are secured to the hub portion. The media elements include a flexible, self-supporting material such that the plurality of media elements can retain substantially the same shape when the hub portion is rotating at both high and low RPMs. The plurality of media elements are secured to the hub portion in a plurality of spaced apart rows that extend in a direction of the axis of rotation. Each of the plurality of spaced apart rows extending in a generally arcuate path along at least a portion of the hub portion.
Abstract:
A rotary brush attachment for use with a tool, such as a power tool, to remove rust, paint, debris, and other unwanted matter accumulated on the surface of fasteners and other parts used in construction, automotive applications, and industrial applications. The rotary brush attachment comprises a body oriented along a longitudinal axis, an engagement portion for removably engaging a tool, and a brush portion. The brush portion comprises a hollow extending at least partially into the body along the longitudinal axis, and bristles extending from the interior surface of the hollow towards the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A method of forming a vehicle wash component includes the step of providing a mold for forming at least one media element for the vehicle wash component. The at least one media element includes a first segment to facilitate attachment to a vehicle wash component, and a second segment for contacting a vehicle to provide a cleaning function. A polymer compound is injected into the mold to form the at least one media element. The molded media element is removed from the mold and then attached to a hub portion of the vehicle wash component.
