    摘要： A palate-free upper denture comprising a denture base formed of an acrylic resin having (i) a lower portion bearing a plurality of downwardly protruding teeth; (ii) an upper portion defining an upper surface so shaped as to receive in retentive intimate engagement complementary peripheral gingiva portions of the upper mouth; and (iii) a lightweight metallic mesh embedded in said acrylic resin and usable in an amount to allow of satisfactory retention. The denture overcomes prior art drawbacks by allowing significant reduction in the amount of acrylic needed while providing sufficient structural integrity and acceptable upper denture retention.

    摘要： Systems and methods for setting posterior prosthetic teeth in production of upper and lower dentures feature tooth blocks each having inner and outer bodies having upper and lower rows of recesses therein corresponding maxillary and mandibular prosthetic teeth. The recesses of the inner and outer bodies conform to lingual and buccul surfaces of the prosthetic teeth respectively and are shaped and positioned to establish proper positioning of the prosthetic teeth relative to one another when clamped between the bodies. The two tooth blocks accommodate respective ones of left and right prosthetic poster teeth sets. Connection elements between the tooth blocks allow adjustment and subsequent locking of the relative positioning between the left and right teeth sets before setting on mandibular and maxillary casts in an articulator. The two tooth blocks eliminate the need to individually position posterior teeth on each side of the jaw.

    摘要： Disclosed is an artificial tooth that is structured such that the tooth is firmly held in its proper position in a core until a plate resin is fully polymerized and cured in succession to the manufacture of a wax denture. To this end, the artificial tooth has on its portion to be embedded into the core a projection for a temporary bond with the core. Also disclosed is a manufacturing method of an acrylic resin denture comprising the steps of forming a projection for a temporary bond with a core, on the portion of a finished artificial tooth to be -embedded into a core material before the finished artificial tooth is embedded into the core by applying a drop of resin that is of the same type as the material of the artificial tooth, and the step of removing the core along with the projection after a plate resin is polymerized. Instead of the application of a resin drop, a resin pellet can be glued on the portion of the finished artificial tooth to be embedded into a core material before the finished artificial tooth is embedded into the core.
