摘要: A system comprises an image capture device, an augmented reality (AR) display to display, and a processing device. The processing deice receives image data of a dental arch from the image capture device and processes the image data using a plurality of detection rules, where each detection rule detects one or more dental conditions. The processing device determines a dental condition for the dental arch based on the processing, determines a position of an area of interest on the dental arch, wherein the area of interest is associated with the dental condition, generates a visual overlay comprising an indication of the dental condition at the position of the area of interest, and outputs the visual overlay to the AR display, wherein the visual overlay is superimposed over a view of the dental arch on the AR display at the position of the area of interest.

摘要: An intraoral scanning system comprises an intraoral scanner and a computing device. The intraoral scanner is to configured to generate intraoral scan data of a bite of a patient. The computing device is configured to receive the intraoral scan data of the bite of the patient during scanning of the bite of the patient, wherein each datum of the intraoral scan data shows a portion of a lower dental arch and a portion of an upper dental arch of the patient. The computing device determines a difference in a relative position of the lower dental arch to the upper dental arch between at least a first datum of the intraoral scan data and a second datum of the intraoral scan data and performs a remedial action responsive to determining that the difference in the relative position of the lower dental arch to the upper dental arch exceeds a difference threshold.

Existing systems are difficult to use and result in inaccurate measurements. The present invention includes a double-sided vertical gauge for determining vertical adjustment, a set of progressively-sized keys for determining horizontal adjustment, and an arch fork. The unique designs of the vertical gauge and the keys facilitate easier and more accurate measurements.

摘要: A bone foundation guide system has a bone foundation guide including a body that is contoured to reversibly affix to a bone segment of a dental implant surgical site. The body is further contoured to guide the cutting of a portion of the bone segment from a dental implant surgical site and alternatively support a dental implant surgical guide. The body is further contoured to support a bone foundation guide prosthesis as an alternative to the dental implant surgical guide. The bone foundation guide prosthesis combines with the body to accommodate the bone segment portion as placed through the body prior to the bone segment portion being removed from the dental implant site through the use of the body.

摘要: A method of producing a retention piece having a guidance package configured to provide a desired movement profile including: obtaining data descriptive of mandibular and maxillary arches, an index position of the mandibular arch at a maximum closure position, and a temporomandibular joint of a recipient; specifying an appropriate guidance package based on the desired movement profile; positioning a retention piece comprising at least a portion of the specified guidance package about virtual representations of at least one of the mandibular and maxillary arches within a virtual articulator; modeling relative movement of the virtual representations of the mandibular and maxillary arches within the virtual articulator; and generating data that can be used by a computer aided machining (CAM) process to create at least one physical retention piece comprising the specified guidance package configured to provide the desired movement profile.

摘要: The present invention relates to methods and systems for generating a 3-D dental impression with a corresponding hinge axis position and, in certain embodiments, a condylar guide inclination. In some embodiments, an intraoral scanner and a computer processing system are employed to: i) generate upper and lower jaw models, and first and second occlusal 3-D models with different mouth openings (MOs) or functional positions (FPs), ii) align the models to generate a composite 3-D model, iii) calculate a hinge axis position from the composite 3-D model based on the difference in said MOs or FPs, and iv) mount the 3-D dental impression on a virtual articulator (VA) by aligning the hinge axis position to the hinge axis position of the VA.

摘要: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method of using a dynamic virtual articulator for simulating occlusion of teeth, when performing computer-aided designing of one or more dental restorations for a patient, where the method includes the steps of: providing the virtual articulator including a virtual three-dimensional model of the upper jaw and a virtual three-dimensional model of the lower jaw resembling the upper jaw and lower jaw, respectively, of the patient's mouth; providing movement of the virtual upper jaw and the virtual lower jaw relative to each other for simulating dynamic occlusion, whereby collisions between teeth in the virtual upper and virtual lower jaw occur; wherein the method further includes: providing that the teeth in the virtual upper jaw and virtual lower jaw are blocked from penetrating each other's virtual surfaces in the collisions.
