摘要: An individually-packaged absorbent article or an absorbent article. The absorbent article (1) includes a hip-hold portion (H) that includes a side area (10) protruding from a rear side-edge of a body (8). The side area (10) includes a first protruding portion (21) that includes a portion having a largest width from a longitudinal centerline (CL) of the body (8), a first recessed portion (31) adjacent to the rear end of the first protruding portion (21), and a second recessed portion (32) adjacent to the front end of the first protruding portion (21). The absorbent article (1) is folded such that a mountain fold line (Y) is formed in the side area (10) of the hip-hold portion (H), and the mountain fold line (Y) intersects with an edge of the side area (10) of the hip-hold portion (H) at a position between a first inflection point (F1) between the first recessed portion (31) and the first protruding portion (21) and a second inflection point (F2) between the first protruding portion (21) and the second recessed portion (32), and is substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal centerline (CL).

摘要: An auxiliary band and method for securing an absorbent pad onto a vulva region of a female includes an elongated body, a first adhesive, and a second adhesive. The elongated body includes an inner surface adapted to face the vulva region. The inner surface defines a pad section adapted to receive the absorbent pad thereon and a peripheral portion extending along an outer periphery of the inner surface. The first adhesive is disposed on the pad section and is adapted to removably secure the absorbent pad to the pad section. The second adhesive is disposed at least on the peripheral portion and is adapted to removably attach the auxiliary band to the skin surrounding the vulva region.

摘要: The present disclosure features a composite fabric, including a nonwoven layer including polymeric fibers and/or filaments; a crosslinked cellulose layer including crosslinked cellulose fibers; wherein the crosslinked cellulose layer is positioned opposed to the nonwoven layer (e.g., without an intervening layer different from the crosslinked cellulose layer and the nonwoven layer; in some embodiments, the crosslinked cellulose layer is immediately adjacent to the nonwoven layer); and an interfacial region between the nonwoven layer and the crosslinked cellulose layer, the interfacial region including physically entangled polymeric fibers and/or filaments from the nonwoven layer and crosslinked cellulose fibers from the crosslinked cellulose layer. The nonwoven layer and the crosslinked cellulose layer of the composite fabric are mechanically inseparable in a dry state.

摘要: An apparatus for a dual-use disposable sanitary garment according to various aspects of the present technology include an absorbent layer coupled to a wearable garment. The wearable garment is folded inward and sealed within a pouch portion adjacent to the absorbent layer. The wearable garment is enclosed within the pouch portion by a removable adhesive layer that is configured to either be kept in place allowing the entire garment to be used as a commonly known sanitary napkin or the adhesive can be removed thereby allowing the wearable garment to be unfolded and worn. The entire sanitary garment may then be disposed after use.
