摘要: A shoulder orthosis is utilized to effect relative movement between bones in a body of a patient. The orthosis includes a base section which is connected with a trunk of a patient's body, an upper arm section which is connected with an upper portion of an arm of the patient, and a lower arm section which is connected with a lower portion of the arm of a patient. An interconnection between the base section and upper arm section of the orthosis is disposed beneath an axilla between the trunk and arm of the patient. A main drive assembly is operable to rotate the lower arm section of the orthosis relative to the upper arm section of the orthosis to pivot a humerus bone in the upper arm of the patient relative to a scapula bone in a shoulder of the patient. A secondary drive assembly is operable to move the lower arm section and upper arm section relative to the base section of the orthosis to move the upper arm of the patient into alignment with the shoulder of the patient.

摘要: A rotary device of a chair comprises a chair body having a seat. A resisting body extends from a rear end of the seat. An annular handle is installed on the resisting body. The chair body has a driving means which is installed at the seat of the driving means. The driving means has a deceleration motor, a worm rod, a worm gear and a chain. The deceleration motor has a deceleration gear. One end of the deceleration motor has a driving spindle. After the driving spindle is connected with the worm rod, the worm gear will be driven to rotate. The worm gear has a protruded driving shaft. One end of the chain is engaged to the driving shaft, while another end of the chain is engaged to the resisting body. The worm gear indirectly drives the resisting body and the handle to generate a predetermined reciprocal motion.

摘要: The use: medicine, particularly psychotherapy, correction of psychoemotional and psychosomatic disorders. The essence: in order to consolidate the desired alterations anchoring is used, in so doing basic suggestion formulae are related by way of association to the patient's feeling of pulsation. Using patient's own feeling of pulsation as a stimulus increases the efficiency of the treatment because pulsations are always felt by patient, they intensify in frustration and, being semantically linked to suggested alterations, they can unconsciously evoke and produce new patterns of behaviour. Before inducing trance squeezing bands are applied on patient's right and left fingers and/or toes, the extent of squeezing is adjusted until the patient can feel the pulsation under the bands, in the process of suggestion before pronouncing a formula the patient's attention is drawn to the feeling of pulsation and the alteration being suggested is verbally linked to the feeling of pulsation.

摘要: A device for producing a continuous passive motion machine for the bending and stretching of the jointed limb of a person, according to a predetermined motion cycle. The device includes a driving element capable of moving to-and-fro along a linear path defined as a base element and an upper and lower element supporting a jointed limb, linked for pivoting about an axis x-x that is substantially transverse relative to said path. A linking element connects the upper element to the driving element. The linking element is mounted so as to pivot in relation to both said upper support element and the driving element about axes that extend substantially transverse relative to the path. The lower element supporting the limb is adapted to be retained in sliding engagement against the linking element.

摘要: Method and system disclosed herein include noninvasively detecting, separating and destroying multiple masses (tumors, cysts, etc.) through a plurality of iterations from tissue (e.g., breast tissue). The method and system may open new frontiers with the implication of noninvasive treatment of masses in the biomedical area along with the expanding technology of acoustic surgery.

摘要: A chain treatment method reduces muscle tonus, reduces joint contractions, acquires body symmetry, and improves motor function and coordination in patients having problems of motor functions, such as cerebral palsy or scoliosis. The method comprises a routine having three interrelated and interdependent states: relaxation, stretching, and then fixing the results obtained after the relaxation and stretching. The relaxation state comprises applying pressure on all points of influence on the body of the patient. The stretching state comprises stretching the body of the patient by hanging the patient on a horizontal bar with the arms in a substantially vertical position. And the fixing state comprises hydrotherapy where the patient is suspended in a pool of water at about 34null-36null C. with the therapist holding the patient under the head and coccyx. The method is performed in sequential order from relaxation to stretching and then to fixing.

摘要: A passive exercise apparatus for use in an erect, non-recumbent seating position that provides an unstable platform capable of encouraging an omni-directional involuntary rocking motion that will result in the involuntary contractions of muscles involved in maintaining muscle tone and promoting proper posture (viz., the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus muscles, external oblique muscles, and other muscles in the abdominal, lumbar/sacral, and pelvic regions) in order to counterbalance the rocking forces. The purpose of the device is to provide continuing involuntary contractions of these muscle groups (a recognized form of EXERSITTING, which is the combined execution of concentric and isometric muscle exertion and contractions performed while sitting on the apparatus of the present invention in order to help maintain muscle tone and encourage good seated posture.

摘要: A method and device for the rehabilitation of patients that have suffered loss of motor control of an appendicular joint due to neurological damage. The method includes attempted contraction by a patient of a muscle that serves to move an affected joint coupled with the production of a perception by the patient that the joint is being moved more than it really is. The method results in dramatic non-transient improvements in motor control of the joint. The device provides an apparatus for performance of the method.
