摘要： The disclosure of this invention relates to odor control and more particularly, to a process and composition whereby household, institutional and industrial odors are eliminated wherein these odors are incorporated in a variety of substrates or are emitted from industrial sludges. The odor control composition of this invention is a solution of Chloramine-T which may incorporate a suitable wetting agent. The solutions in this invention may further be buffered. The concentration of the Chloramine-T can be from about 0.5 to about 15 weight percent when used. The concentration of the wetting agent can be from about 0.1 to about 5%. The Chloramine-T solutions of this invention are effective over a pH range of 6-14, with a preferred pH range being from 8 to about 9.5.

摘要： A solar-power battery air freshener includes a housing (100) with an oscillating fan (61) for emitting a fragrance to the surrounding environment. A solar-power battery (20) utilizes energy derived from natural sunlight or light emitted from a regular light fixture in order to provide power to an oscillating device wherein a fan (61) is connected. The oscillating device includes a circuit (44), a coil (45), and magnets (46) connected to vertical iron plates (41, 42). A bracket (60) is attached to the iron plate (41) in such a manner that a fan (61) can be attached to the bracket. A fragrance container (81) is located directly below the fan (61). The oscillating movement of the fan (61) disperses the fragrance emitted from the fragrance container (81) out of the housing through air vents (105) and into the room or vehicle being freshened.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided, which enable an air modifying agent such as an insecticide, pesticide, insect repellant, fragrance, perfume etc. to be disseminated into an atmosphere. The air modifying agent is entrained in a flammable liquid carrier (2) which is less volative than the agent, which is held in a container (1). A wick (3) draws the agent/carrier (2) up to an igniting station provided at the rim (5) of a metal collar (4) which closely encircles the wick (3). The collar (4) is provided with a pair of diametrically opposed elongate slots (8), which expose part of the wick (3) to the atmosphere and thereby provide a vaporisation station spaced below the igniting station and disposed in the path of the flammable liquid carrier. In use, heat from a flame (6) passes along the collar (4) and warms the wick (3) in the vaporisation station, thereby assisting the preferential evaporation of the air modifying agent from the vaporisation station, away from the flammable liquid carrier prior to the latter's combustion in the flame (6). An angled deflecting plate (10) is also provided to deflect the evaporated air modifying agent away from the flame (arrow A).

摘要： An interconnectable fumigant element connectable with like elements to form a segmented fumigant. The fumigant element has a burnable, elongated body holding a volatilizable active. The body has a first connector at one end and a second connector at a location remote from the first connector, the shapes of the first and second connectors being such that a user can use them to connect two such bodies. A second body so connected to a first body is automatically ignited as the first body bums down to its first connector. Two or more such bodies can be connected to form a segmented fumigant. A method of controlling insects by using such fumigant elements is also disclosed, as well as a kit including such fumigant elements for forming burnable and segmented fumigants. The connected fumigants can be stacked in a vertical manner or disposed horizontally.
