摘要： The invention relates to a cushioning unit for an oval-tracked exercise device. A connecting element has one end pivotably attached to the elongated treadle and the other end pivotably attached to the handle bar. A lateral piece parallel to the connecting element is inwardly extended from the bottom end of the handle bars while a cushioning element is mounted on the lateral piece. When the handle bar is moved to the bottommost position, the connecting element presses against the cushioning element for achieving the expected cushioning effect, thereby preventing the operator's feet from shock caused by the reactive force of the elongated treadles.

摘要： The present invention relates to a standup exercise apparatus that simulates in-place jogging and climbing with elliptical arm exercise. More particularly, the present invention relates to an exercise machine having separately supported pedals for the feet and arm exercise coordinated with the motion of the feet. A linkage is provided for each foot pedal to guide the pedal with reciprocating motion wherein the toe of the foot moves faster than the heel of the foot. A pair of cranks operably associated with the pedals provide dependent pedal motion. Handle movement is coordinated with the pedal movement for total body crosstraining. Low knee stress allows long duration exercise without hurting knees common with some crosstrainers.

摘要： A resistance unit for an exercise device, such as a bicycle trainer, includes a magnetic member which cooperates with a rotating electrically conductive member to establish eddy current resistance to rotation of a rotatable member forming a part of the resistance unit. The resistance unit includes a body to which the rotatable member is mounted, and an adjustment mechanism is interconnected with the magnetic member and the body for adjusting the position of the magnetic member relative to the electrically conductive member, to adjust the eddy current resistance experienced by the rotatable member. The magnetic member is movably mounted within a passage defined by the body, and the adjustment mechanism includes a manually operable actuator which is accessible from the exterior of the body. The actuator is rotatable relative to the body, and rotation of the actuator functions to move the magnetic member toward and away from the electrically conductive member, to adjust the eddy current resistance. The rotatable member is interconnected with a flywheel, and the electrically conductive member is mounted to and rotatable with the flywheel to apply resistance to rotation of the rotatable member through the flywheel.

摘要： A treading exercising machine generates adjustable elliptical tracks to tilt at two sides thereof. The treading exercise machine has a base each side of which having a respective support frame. The support frames are pivotally installed with symmetrical sliding grooves. Two sides of another end of the base have respective coaxial cranks. Each crank is pivotally connected to one end of a pedal. Another ends of the two pedals are connected to sliding wheels. The sliding wheels are received in the sliding grooves so as to move therein. The two sliding grooves with a predetermined length have respective axial rods at the outer middle sides thereof. Thereby, the sliding grooves are adjustable along the support frames to adjust tilting angles at the two sides; and thus, elliptical tracks of the pedals are changed to present operations of moving upwards, downwards and flatly.

The pedal assembly is automatically raised and positioned for use when the footrest is pivoted forwardly. The leg-exercising station is concealed within the chair when not in use.

摘要： An exercise bicycle including a frame having a seat and handlebars, a high-inertia flywheel having a hub at a center of rotation, the flywheel being rotatably supported on the frame at the hub, and a drive train including a drive sprocket, a crank arm attached to and extending from the drive sprocket, and a pedal attached to the crank arm, the drive train being rotatably supported by the frame. The drive train also includes a slave sprocket fixed to the flywheel at the hub, with the drive and slave sprockets connected in a direct-drive relationship, the drive train driveable in a forward and rearward directions to cause the flywheel to rotate. A clutch mechanism is positioned in engagement with the slave sprocket and the hub to create a frictional engagement between the sprocket and the hub, and to establish a break-free force threshold. When the drive train is actuated in the forward direction, the slave sprocket and the hub move together, and when the drive train is actuated in the rearward direction under the influence of a force greater than the break-free force threshold, the clutch mechanism slips between the slave sprocket and the hub, allowing the slave sprocket and the flywheel to move independently of one another. The clutch mechanism including a spring tensioner whereby the break-free force may be adjusted.
